Thank you for this, Mandy! I’ve been having a very difficult year with my health & have let my skincare routine fall by the wayside. I started using my products again the other day & this video has further encouraged me to stay dedicated. I bought the Allies of Skin moisturizer when I saw you brag on it months ago & I can’t wait to start using it again. Do you know of any red light therapy masks that are less expensive? Even with your discount, I cannot afford that mask. I’m sure it’s difficult to find anything less expensive but I thought I’d ask. I hope you have a wonderful vacation & outstanding Summer!! 💜😊♥️

I am glad you are getting back into the swing of skincare. I don't know of any other masks since I love this one and haven't researched more. But if you do decide to research, just make sure that the bulbs have the efficient output of 66 red (633nm) and 66 near-infrared (830nm) wavelengths that have been studied to work. ❤️

Great video. I prefer Korean and Japanese sunscreens. After much trial and error (2 weeks of it) I have figured out the Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals works for me (finally) if I put it over non tinted Korean/Japanese sunscreen. My favorites are Numbuzin, Skin1004 and Purito. I tried to like the ISDN but it was very dryinig on me. Of course I'm a lot older, live in the high desert and have really dry skin. The Current Body Red Light mask is fantastic. Great list of "must haves"
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
Yes! I mentioned in my foundation video that the hydropure definitely works best over non tinted spfs. I am glad you have found that as well. And the ISDIN is a bit of a less glowy spf; dries down more matte so I can see that.

I definitely want to get that red light mask, I get acne flare ups in and my rosacea flares up to in the summer so my dermatologist doesn’t want me using my retinol or my NuFace while for the next two months while I’m on a prescription for it,so I definitely think I could benefit from that mask

Red light is so beneficial. I hope you love it. Blue light is also great for acne.

GM! I have been using the Elta MD UV Elements for years as my foundation w/ a little bit of JI powder foundation on top. Since they reformulated it I have been using that and like it too! Do you think the Isdin tinted sunscreen you talked about could be used as a foundation as well?!😊
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
I personally love the coverage I get from the Isdin and I find it to be less glowy on my skin than the Elta MD. Hope this helps!

Hi Beautiful Mandy. I thought at one time you were using Agency for tret. Do you like just plain tret better and/or using this company instead? I’m thinking of switching. Thank you so much! ❤
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
I was...I do prefer the regular tret to agency. For some reason, the agency broke me out pretty bad. I am sure it was something that was mixed with it. Once I switched to the plain tret, I stopped having the breakouts. And Nurx is very easy to work with.

After a couple of years trying other vitamin C serums and some non l-ascorbic acid versions, I've gone back to Maelove Glow Maker and find it the most effective on my skin and it doesn't irritate my skin.

Hi Mandy, how would you compare the tinted spf to Colorescience Flex?
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
It's not as thick and has a bit less coverage than the Colorescience Flex. I personally don't like to apply the Flex on top of itself because it turns out to be a bit too heavy on my skin, and I don't find that to be the case at all for the ISDIN.

Why did you stop using Curology/Agency for your tret? Thank you
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
I stopped Curology so I could try out some of the retinals on the market and see what I thought of them. When I decided to get back on tret, I went to Agency and I broke out pretty badly with their formula, and it wasn't purging since I didn't do that with the same % tret straight from the pharmacy. There must have been something in it that my skin didn't like. And overall, the tret from the pharmacy is a lot cheaper.

Thank you SO much for doing this video!!! So helpful, and really clarifies what are the basic essentials. It can get so overwhelming otherwise. Have you tried the new Allies of Skin SPF? And their GF lifting serum? I’m so curious about those products and what you think of them :)
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! Yes, I have it. I really enjoy it under makeup. I don't love it as much when it is on it's own...it stays a bit tacky. But it's very smoothing and blurring for under makeup. I LOVE their growth factor. I use that when I am traveling. I was away for four days this past week and I took that and the Allies moisturizer. That and spf is always my go to travel morning routine.

Mandy, thanks so much for this video!!!! So simple and easy to follow… I have a question if we were using the allies of skin growth factor serum, and are trying to save money would you recommend using the calecim as a replacement for moisturizer and growth factor? And is it as potent as the Allies? Would the Calecim do well on top of Tretinoin or before( as in your tret video) I wanted to buy the calecim but couldn’t do the Allies GF serum their peptide cream and also the calcium. Also I think the Allie’s is what’s causing all those bumps around my eyes bc I have removed lots of steps from my skin care routine and I still have those bumps. My daughter started using the allies and loved it for the first few days and then started getting bumps as well. Just like I have had. I’m thinking I might need to replace the Allie’s with the trueology for day and calecim for night. Would this be hydrating enough?Sorry loaded question. Thanks for all help!!! You are my most trusted skincare expert and I am so thankful you always take your time and answer questions so truly appreciated!!! 😘😘😘
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! You definitely could use the calecim as a one and done. It doesn't have the highest percentage of exosomes like the serum and multi action cream, but they are in there. I do use the hydration cream on top of tretinoin. Such a bummer on the Allies. Luckily it is one of the few products that doesn't give me bumps.
@heathercordova28886 ай бұрын
@@MandyDavisMUA thanks!! I did mean the Calecim multi action cream. Not the restorative cream. I was thinking of switching to the multi action cream for night and trueology barrier restore for moisturizer for day and on top of tret… would this be good? 😊

Hi Mandy! You have beautiful skin! The med spa I go to just started carrying a brand called Skinbetter Science. Wondering if u have heard of it and if so what your thoughts are on it. Also, been debating on the the Omnilux or the Currentbody Skin Red Light. Is there a difference?
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I am actually a little turned off by Skinbetter Science. They may have amazing products, and I know that a ton of people love them. However, they have a product that they market as a their vitamin c serum. But when you look at the ingredients, the vitamin c is underneath another ingredient that is only allowed to be used in concentrations of 2% or less. Which means there is less than 2% of the Vitamin C in the product....which is negligible. To me, that is false advertising, so I was put off from trying anything. But again, they may be amazing products. I can't say since I haven't used them.
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
Oh, and I have never used the Omnilux but I think they are pretty similar in the amount of mn they put out, but I am not sure the amount of bulbs. I would say they are likely pretty similar.
@fritzpeterson62736 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Mandy for taking the time to respond! I value your opinion so good to know about the Vitamin C serum. I am using Prequel right now. I struggle with that and Tretinion because of my rosacea but so far it seems ok. Love your content!

The new YSL quads are available now in the US at Macy's. Just wanted to let u know . I feel like they are cheaper then what I paid for my first ones 64 or 68$ can't remember lol . I love some skincare videos, I'm nosey like to see what people are using 😂 I love skincare. I need to start a channel with all the products skin and makeup that I buy so I can justify all these purchases. Well that is what my husband says anyway. I'm to shy on camera though or I would have done it along time ago . I don't have a red light therapy mask but I have been looking into it but I use the whole body red light at my gym. I was also researching that Nira laser duo set .

Hi Mandy, Have you tried the new Neogenesis Skin Restore Serum? It's a vitamin A of Retinoate. It does NOT require any conversions, it's turns directly into retinoic acid. Even more potent than retinaldehyde. It's very light. I love the science behind this. I just started using it and I will alternate with my tretinoin (0.05%).
@MandyDavisMUA6 ай бұрын
I have not tried that one yet....I am not sure I will be able to stop using my tret now that I am fully retinized to it 5 days a week, but the neogenesis will always be on my radar. ❤️
