I used this song to teach my World History class about the Five Solas. It's so fun! I had already taught the history of the Protestant Reformation, so this was a really great review of that and intro to the Five Solas! Your work lives on!

Adam thanks for creating these songs. I’m a pastor who loves and teaches reformed theology to my church and my kids, and your songs are very beneficial and useful for my kids especially. We listen in the car and at home so I can teach them the creeds and solas and tulip. I wanted to encourage you to keep creating new songs like these especially around scripture and reformed doctrine. They are really creative catchy and well done. You are having a big impact on people for decades to come because they are learning the most essential truths by heart from a young age. Thank you and don’t stop making songs!

The pope in 1517 was only 42 or 43, so the picture at 1:31 might be a bit old. Also, I'm not sure if the list of reformers is meant to be showing people who came after/during Luther, but Jan Hus was a predecessor of Luther (died in 1415).

And this one word should ring in your ear context context context context context context context context context context context context context context context context context We are saved by faith alone. The entire context is to refute those who say because we are saved by faith, we don't have to do any good works. However, the scripture shows that our works are the fruit of salvation, not the tree itself.

Re James 2:24 Is this not concerning faith in its ownself making the point that faith produces works yet, it is not the works that contribute to one's Salvation so not no man can boast. Perhaps comparable to people who go to Church on Sunday morning and do the same exact thing that very night - where there is literally no change in the person except they claim to be a Christian. "Yes, we're Justified by faith alone, but not by a faith that remains alone. A faith that is alive will bring forth the fruits of righteousness" ~ RC Sproul I need to look into 2 Thes 2:15 Further, how can a dead man save himself through works?
@johnelmerpechuela35195 жыл бұрын
i love the song simply because it's sounds good to the ears but not to reason. Wouldn't it be better if you didn't leave the Catholic's valid ministerial priesthood so as not to lose the other sacraments(channels of divine grace)? As far as the melody of the song is concerned, i liked it.
@karlasanders62575 жыл бұрын
As a Protestant I believe that there is only one channel of divine grace - the channel of God/Jesus/Messiah/our High Priest forever. Ephesians 2:8,9,10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves,it is the gift of God- not by works,so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Hebrews 7:24,25,26,27 .....but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need- one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. ****Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins ONCE FOR ALL when he offered himself.

Didn’t actually nail the 95 Thesis and indulgences have nothing to do with achieving salvation.

I’m prodestant and I’m gonna be converting to Lutheranism but I think it’s funny just how incredibly uneducated many modern prodestants are on the 95 thesises and the actual issues of the reformation it’s laughable
@Southernstereotype8 ай бұрын
But indulgences are still a despicable twisting of Gods words and akin to the Pharisees of Jesus’ day.
@kaymorris53262 жыл бұрын
True but why say" you will know them by their fruits?" Because good people do good things and vice versa so good works are also necessary, reparations are necessary, not omitting adherence to the commandments of God
@stevenlee567310 ай бұрын
2 Thessalonians 2:15 debunks the false manmade Protestant doctrine of Sola Scriptura. “So therefore brethren, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions, we have taught onto you, either by letter OR by word of mouth.” Word of God is both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition through the Living Magisterium of the Church, not by Scripture alone as you Protestants love to state. I grew up Protestant, but I am converting to Catholicism because I studied Church History and came to the realization that all of Christianity came from the Catholic Church, the Church that Christ established.
