Her Creator/Daddy is safe, she's been able to provide information that will help undermine the Reverse-Flash, and she's been given a non-controvertible order not to tell the Reverse-Flash that his security has been breached. This revelation that Barry created Gideon brings up the question of how and when Thawne got his hands on her for himself. A question which I doubt is going to be answered in this final season.
