Well, they did that for an episode in S1 with Red Kryptonite Supergirl, and she was BADASS. To make a whole season with her being turned evil? That SHOULD be interesting.

They have done a villainous Supergirl storyline 3 times now, the most recent of which (Red Daughter) lasted all of season 4. The upcoming season 6 will be the last so probably won't see it again.

@@ChewyPineapple Well, there was Red!Kara, Overgirl (Earth X) and Red Daughter yes, however Red Daughter wasn't evil just confused and manipulated (I call her "puppy" xD), and Overgirl was never someone who could've been (nor would I have wanted her to be) saved, she was evil incarnate, but she wasn't really Kara at all. I would've liked to see a repeat perhaps of Red!Kara in S5 or something, to see the reactions of the new cast of the show.

@@CMThota It is a dumb mix of bad lines and stupid stereotypes about Nazis. Remember, they claim that Kara X is supposed to be from a world where Hitler won. And the phrase "Aryan perfection" (to take one example), would barely have been uttered in the Third Reich, they would have said nordic perfection. To them Aryans was much broader, too broad for many in fact. At least for a time Turks and Indians were classified as Aryans. What they have Kara X say is what a modern American with no clue would think Nazis would say.

This is the best scene of the entire episode. It’s bad enough SuperGirl is about to be murdered for her heart, but OverGirl takes such delicious joy in tormenting and mocking her. I guess in her own vile way OverGirl is trying to understand why SuperGirl isn’t as evil as she is. By far OverGirl’s most chilling moment is when she says that the weak are best helped by “getting rid of them”. This is as close to saying “genocide” and “extermination” as possible and shows us the depths of her evil. Melissa Benoist’s portrayal of both SuperGirl and OverGirl are spectacular, although I think her OverGirl is better. One of OverGirl’s lines calling herself “Aryan perfection” is ridiculous. She may have been raised in an Aryan state, but she’s not from Earth. I guess the indoctrination she was raised with made her forget that she’s not human.
