So the thinker's wife said that Barry couldn't punch the satellite himself because it would kill him. So if Nora didn't travel to that time wouldn't barry have died that day and not go missing years later in an explosion of light because he would have already been dead? And if Nora was always meant to travel and save Barry by double punching the satellite, then how come the timeline is different/altered and Cicada is not the same person he was originally suppose to be because of Nora? Plot hole? I think so.

I think Barry was going to be fine, maybe badly injured, but he wasn’t going to die when he punched the satellite. Nora getting involved at that exact moment has to do with Eobard Thawne’s plan from 2049. Sherloque questioned Nora about whether it was her idea, or someone else’s suggestion to interfere, and therefore create a different version of Cicada. So while Marlize was worried he might die, she also wasn’t familiar enough with his powers. Also there are times when people in the team will point out that a plan of theirs might lead to Barry’s death - eg. Barry throwing lightning at himself to short circuit his suit when Kilgore was controlling it.
