I think it was because Cisco was confrontational and aggressive while Barry talked to Caitlin on her own and used logic. Caitlin doesn't react well to aggressive behaviour, even from Cisco, but she'll listen to someone's opinion if they don't try to dismiss hers in the process and say their reasoning.

I love these two so much. No matter what happens they care so much about each other. He wants her to be happy and she wants him to be the best version of himself. I love that killer Frost was so strong in this episode like she was when she was first introduced. I couldn’t stand how weak they made her look. Now hopefully with the new look she has that she will remain strong as well.

I hated that they made her look weak also when she only wanted to help Iris in away scolded her reminding her (by that time) she wasn't a meta anymore. Idk maybe she felt threatened for how smart Caitlin is than her hahaha and at some point Iris talked down on Killer frost. When she said Killer frost is out of commission etc. I was like bish. But know that killer frost is back Iris can shut up xD

Poisonivie94 well the thing is Barry left the team to Cisco. He told him to take care of things while he is gone. But Iris was the leader. I was like how the crap? And no one addressed that issue either. I see why Cait left as well. No one was helping her! No one gave a damn until she turned into Frost. And she chose Barry (Savitar) because he was the only one who truly cared at the moment.

What got me was; Barry leaning on the door frame watching her for a moment before he spoke, ala season 1. I loved it so much because it happened after Cisco told him to think like a CSI, bringing back the old loveable, kind hearted, understanding Barry. Which we got to see in the SnowBarry scene that followed. I have said it before, and I will say it again--He is so much more caring, soft, and understanding when he talks to Caitlin then when he talks to Iris. I can't help but feel like he is just going through the actions of caring but that his heart just isn't really in it when talking to Iris. But with Caitlin, his heart is 100% in it, he really truly cares about Caitlin.

they spend so much time harrassing and bashing snowbarry shippers and danielle/caitlin fans and they expect us to not see how threatened they are by us after the amount of effort they put into making sure snowbarry shippers wont ship sb by saying wa is better and tries to justify wa so hard. its hilarious. they arent this affected by any other barry pairing because of the strength of snowbarry shippers. some wa shippers who arent egotistical or iris-obsessed have themselves admitted they see the chemistry and point in snowbarry happening. so i really hope all snowbarry shippers would come out so we can show the writerrs what we really want. but most of sb shippers have stopped watching the show earlier on or have been harrassed by wa shippers or just plainly avoiding the toxicity and bullying snowbarry fans get.

The fact that they're STILL doing EXACT PARALLELS with Barry and Caitlin is utterly nonsensical if West-Allen is endgame. I mean, similar moments would be one thing, but EXACT ones is on a whole other level of writing continuity. I say it again, if it turns out that Snowbarry is the endgame ship (Honestly, if it's not endgame I don't want it to happen at all. The ship deserves better than to just be a stepping stone to get Westallen back together.), then the romantic subplot writing instantly turns from disastrously awful to subtly brilliant in the way they've set it all up.

Is it just me, or did Thomas/Icicle know how to use his powers as a weapon fairly well for someone who claims to have been isolated for most of the time he'd had them? I hope by the end of this season Caitlin grows closer to her mum (who's distance after her fathers' 'death' could be because she felt so guilty and helpless as she was forced to watch her daughter grieve a man Carla probably thought was too dangerous to let near their daughter, look how easily he manipulated her and Snowbarrisco.) and maybe the two of them become a catalyst for bringing Thomas to the surface. I'm looking forward to episode 18, not only because it's Danielle's directing debut, but because the episode has (according to IMBD) both of Caitlin's parents in it. So either a flashback episode where we saw the circumstances leading up to Thomas' 'death' or the Snow women trying to bring Thomas back, or maybe Icicle using Carla as bait to force Caitlin to make more serum? Side Note: Also hoping episode after next where Barry and Nora visit his past (cause that always ends well) Barry faces some hard truths about how he's treated Cisco and Caitlin and taken advantage of their friendship kind of frequently but rarely shown them the same support. Possibly even have Nora, who didn't live through it and can see it with fresh eyes, can point some not-so-great decisions out.

@@hal216Same, I don't know why the writers have given Iris so much say in the team because she sure hasn't earned it and she treats everyone around her like they *have* do what she says and that she's always right (Nora was definitely right there) even though she was 'leader' when they lost all but one of the bus meta's which anyone else would have taken as a blow or at least showed they cared but Iris was emotionless more or less, only getting upset when Ralph's death hit Barry hard and he didn't lean on her as she wanted. That was one of the few times she even showed any real emotion besides anger and annoyance last season, and it was because someone didn't act the way she wanted them to, what does that say about her as a person? I mean she was annoyed when Nora openly didn't like her (seriously, why do they have to have everyone like Iris? Some people just don't like other people, get over it! Not every mother-daughter relationship is rainbows and sunshine) and now that she does and wants to spend time with her...Iris is still annoyed. I mean, the hell? The woman just loves drama and conflict and only seems to have/accept relationships on her terms. Even if Joe or Barry (and Eddie in season 1) disagreed with her or did something she didn't want them to, she either ignored them or 'punished' them with a silent treatment etc, whereas she can do whatever the hell she wants with zero consequences. And WA/Iris fans can't understand why we don't like this spoiled brat of a character? It says something when you have to nerf the main character and pretty much everyone else just to make the female 'lead' look halfway useful, even if we had 3 seasons showing her as more or less set dressing watching the other people in the team save the city/world every week with minimal input from her. But sure, make her leader with no build-up, critical skills or reasons besides she's in a relationship with the actual leader. On no other show would that fly. Bring back season 1 Barry and send Iris to Opal city or somewhere where she can build a life as a journalist that isn't more or less solely dependant on Barry and team Flash for information.

@@ALittleTooWordy exactly. More and more people are noticing the stupidity in iris' writing and that makes me glad. WAs have number i gotta give it to them because when they attack anyone who doesnt like or ship iris/wa they attack together. there was this article that came out today by tvline about iris jumping off and they turned it into all about them only hating because of iris' skin and how the show has writing that ignores science and everyone is hating only because its iris. you should check it out its a good article. the thing is in it theres quotes from the directors and they are like in the shows beginning they said 'to understand you have to believe in the impossible' and that apparently from their perspective , the message we were supposed to get was that anything can happen dont look for it to all be factual. but the funny thing is that scene isnt terrible just because of the ignored physics of it that scene clearly shows how they treat iris and the other characters. ralph was right there and there are also the cold gun and more weapons that could have been used in that scene and yet they chose to make iris jump off a building. and for what? to make her seem great infront of her daughter. they really don't get how to write iris. nora hates her mom because she never changes and she still hasnt changed but she saw her jump off a building so lets forgive her for everything and shes the best mom in the world and suddenly nora wants to be with iris more than barry her dad she doesnt know (because her mommy dearest didnt tell her). also the nora getting speedster advice from iris who was a speedster for two days when she herself has been one for 6 months and is a genius in physics just like her dad. learning how to be a speedster and run on water and create a storm. from iris. the barista/journalist. i cant even with these writers. and Tom cavanaugh being reduced to another one to prop up the westallen drama is just sad and a true waste of talent. making tea for 2 hours and iris and nora watching him do so. after two hours they find a clue right there on the only board there where wells is sitting. its pathetic really, the westallen writing. though the main issue will always be the incest they really went out of their way to make iris the cringiest annoying self-cenetered character and made barry to be just another tool to shoehorn iris into everything in the show. and now they have a daughter from the future along with the article from the future. also i really wish they would address the fact that iris killed someone, shot them in the head. and that someone being her brother-husband-bff. yet they got married like nothing happened. where did barry's principles and ideals on murder go then? shows how blinded barry is. sidenote: i am honestly so conflicted about this. i genuinely love the show but i cant enjoy it because i hate one character and an incest pairing. i ship snowbarry so much and honestly anyone who pays attention to the story of the show without biased will agree that snowbarry should and might be endgame. there is just so much background and parallelism in their story, season after season their story just keeps getting more connected and it gives me so much hope and at the same time i get scared im setting myself up for disappointment lol. shipping sb is hard and yet so worth it. i just wish they would get rid of this toxic ship already and i want it to be permanent because with everything if snowbarry is endgame their terrible writing could literally flip to a really good angst filled slowburn endgame. i honestly dont spend half the time i spend on flash on any other show or ship lol.

​@@hal216 I think there's some truth to what some people pointed out: we suspend our belief when people with powers do these kinds of things because the laws of science don't always affect them the same way they affect normal people, but when normal people are able to do the impossible with no trouble or explanation, then it's too much. I'd be saying the same thing if it was Felicity, Sara, Joe, Cecile, Oliver...nope, I'd still say no to Oliver doing it even if he'd be the most capable under pressure. If the rules of science don't apply to the non-powered people, what's the point of them at all? I mean there was someone who suggested it's because she was a speedster for 2 days so she regains her connection to the speedforce when she's near Barry, which makes...what sense exactly? THAT'S NOT HOW POWERS WORK! Especially since she was just borrowing (and rubbing his face in it the entire time) Barry's connection to the speedforce so, again, how would that work? And they've completely swept Norajr's (legitimate as far as I'm concerned) reasons' for disliking her mother under the rug in favour of her new-found hero worship. Everything about Iris in that episode was a lie: she wasn't bitten by the journalism bug early in life (season 1 showed us that since she complained about her journalist classes and made up quotes) and she couldn't have rescued Barry in that amount of time before they both went splat. Could the other meta's who have been on the team have done it? Yep: Wally, Jesse and Norajr could have sped over the side to get his cuffs off, Cisco could have breached him either into water (possibly dangerous) or onto something that could have helped him decelerate safely (like a flexible net for trapeze artists or an inflatable target like they use in action movies for just those occassions), Ralph could have reached for him and help him decelrate to the ground safely and Killer Frost could have either frozen the cuffs off or created an iceslide which could have gotten him to the ground cold, but unharmed. It's sad that the WA crap has kind of had a domino effect on the rest of the writing too, because the writers seem to have a minimum quota of Iris and WA they need to fit in most episodes, that they take the screen time from other characters so their scenes have to try to fit everything in to have it make sense in a smaller amount of time which sometimes makes it jarring and also reduces the action/superhero time overall. The writers tried to rectify that last season by cutting back on Cisco, Caitlin, Joe and Wells screen-time and boost Iris and Ralph's screentime and have them be the main two who interacted with Barry and almost eradicated his time with everyone else outside of 'team Flash brainstorming time', and even then it was mostly Iris telling more qualified and intelligent people what to do...when they weren't explaining everything to her. And it backfired because a lot of the fans like those characters and OTF and weren't happy that the better-written characters were not only pushed to the background but that Barry was more or less nerfed to make Iris and Ralph look more useful/important. But at least Ralph doubted himself and his position on the team, Iris just expects the others to follow her and do what she says, regardless of whether they really *should* or not. Yeah, Iris and Barry's reaction after HR's funeral was really chilling to me. The callousness of it all, as if 3 people weren't killed in their quest to save Iris (yes I count Caitlin, she flatlined for over a minute...still one of the best scenes of the season (and BArry should have been there!)) and they just went on planning their wedding like it was any other day. Like Iris hadn't killed a man that even Barry said still had some of him in there and there was some of Savitar in Barry, but apparently the 'no kill rule' doesn't apply to Iris. Joe has a 'pass' because he's a cop and he's only even killed someone in the line of duty (besides his actions in letting out a mass murderer in the name of saving Iris who...killed Caitlin. Hmm). Iris is a former barista and was a journalist at the time, who shot the time remnant of her foster-brother/fiance/off and everyone just shrugged it off. It's not empowering, it's murder. He was going to disappear anyway because of the change of timeline and she shot to kill anyway. Reply to your Side Note: I know, all the build-up is there, and then the 180 happened where Barry isn't allowed to lean on anyone but Iris and the show started to go down the drain writing wise to try and make Iris a/the lead character, when even in the comics she's more of a supporting character. Is it any wonder there are still Snowbarry's out there who want Barry to be with someone who treats him like his opinions matter, even if they're not the same as hers, who supports him without controlling him, who has similar interests, friends and some parallels in their pasts that makes her almost uniquely able to empathise with him sometimes, and so many other reasons I still ship them. I really hope they're endgame, and as much as I'd like to think the writers are doing such an outlandishly terrible job of writing Iris. Iris who was a speedster for 2 days at most, telling Nora, who's been a speedster for more than 6 months, how to do something as a speedster was a bit much, but I gave it certain allowances since it was something Iris had done before, that Barry lied about not doing to boost her up. I just wish they'd have Iris have an epiphany that everything she has or accomplished is because of Barry (because it pretty much is, no matter the 'I was a journalist since childhood' retconning) and that most of her accolades have been for her writting about the Flash, where here 'research' consists of just *asking* Barry what happened and what they did etc, and have her get a job where there are no superhero's and makes a name for herself there and build a life for herself that's all her own and realise that she's living the life she dreamed and is happy, because she isn't in Barry's/the Flash's shadow and then talks to Barry, who would have had a tough time at first but got back into a good place with the help of the Wests and his team and they'd both come the conclusion that while they loved each other, they weren't *in love* with each other and were a lot more fulfilled and happy apart, and while they still wanted to keep their friendship, it was better as a long-distance arrangement where they both got the independance and freedom they didn't get when they were together. My Side Note: A similar article about a recap of 'the Icicle Cometh' episode had a commentator saying something that made me feel a bit sick before I thought it through: they said that behind the scenes Danielle is being very shady to Candice and even tried to get her written off the show in season 1 which is why there is tension between the two and why Candice and Emily Rickards don't follow her on social media. Now let me premise this with a statement: just because I severely dislike *Iris West* does not mean I dislike Candice, in fact in general I don't pay attention to celebrities outside their films/shows because their private lives should be private, unless they're being shady then it should be brought into the light. That being said I very much doubt that this is what's really going on. For one thing, if this was something that was happening on a regular or semi-regular basis, then wouldn't the rest of the cast know and probably react to it and therefore band around Candice against Danielle? This cast, from what I've seen at panels etc, seem to be very friendly for the most part and I don't think the vast majority of them would be such close friends with Danielle if she was as shady as she's being portrayed. Would Grant and his fiance be close enough friends with her that they'd spend time with her and her husband off set? Would Carlos, Tom, Jesse, Grant and other cast members be so quick to get in selfies with her and continue to support her and leave nice messages on her social media? Or are all of these people who around them for 12 hours or more every day supposed to be completely oblivious to this happening under their noses? Honestly what I think is more likely is that Candice is feeling a lot of the hate that people spew at her, that they feel for Iris. Candice is not Iris. Iris is a character that only exists in this form on the screen and while she is a poorly written Mary-Sue, yelling at the actress for the things Iris says when she's just saying her lines isn't fair. Then again people bombarded Grant's fiance with hate during season 3, saying 'Barry's already got a replacement for Iris' and Arrow fans do similar with Stephen Amell's wife, hating her on 'behalf' of Laurel and Felicity, so it's not just her. But again, it shouldn't be happening to anyone in the first place. I think some WA/Iris fans have turned their dislike of Caitlin onto Danielle and started making statements that she must be shady and trying to hurt Candice, which would be atrocious if it was true (also if the reverse was true ie Candice trying to sabotage Danielle) but given the actions of their cast members I just don't think there's much basis to actually take this as truth. I'm not saying they're actually friends, but would the world come to an end if they're not? Not everyone gets along with everyone else. It's a fact of life. Saying it must be because one or the other is shady is speculation at best, character assassination at worst.

I loved this episode! Plus I was genuinely surprised by that point you made on Khione/Killer Frost and Hermes, I didn't know about that at the time. Maybe the writers are actually going somewhere good with this (hopefully). Still, it was really great that Killer Frost came back and Barry and Caitlin got to have some Snowbarry/Flashfrost moments, and that Cisco, Barry and Caitlin got to go off on their own for once in god knows how long.

I just thought about this!!! At 4:06 why does it say Flash, XS, Elongated Man and Vibe, which are Barry, Nora, Ralph and Cisco’s superhero names/titles, but it say Caitlin instead of Killer Frost. I understand they are 2 different people in 1 body / 2 different sides to 1 person but it kinda shows they don’t believe Killer Frost will come back.

When Cait interrupted Barry with "This guy?" it nearly broke my heart, it really shows that she wants him to be the father she remembers and misses very much, and not beeing acknowledged by Barry and Cisco made her sad but not really angry. The conection between Cait and Barry in this episode came out of nowhere, but who I am to complain LOL. "You know how stranged I am with my mother, and how empty I felt without Killer Frost" I mean... does he? They barely talked about any of that, most of the scenes were with Cisco and Ralph. And I hope that Icicle isn't just some freak of the week once or twice more, it would be good to have something more meaningful.

She still had to breathe, but not like in the lab when the air was forcing its way into her lungs.

I might be wrong, but the one that was love interest of Hermes and Apolo is a mere mortal (in the mith she is even killed by Artemís, which is something that coudn´t happen to a god). The one that is mentioned in the series is the godess, and the love interest of Posidon (god of sea, hurricanes and earthquakes), which is, as far as I know, the only mentioned in the mithology. Oh my gosh this was my favorite episode ever of the flash we got so many parallels so many looks we got SNOWBARRY and KILLER-FLASH and some SNOWBARRISCO. i didn't need any kisses or hugs or anything the looks and speech said it all and Barry talked about he was "not blinded" by his emotions which goes back to the Instagram post about being "blind". For those wondering, I found at lest 4 different myths about the Ice Goddess. And yes, in one she was the love of both Apollo, and Hermes. Apollo was (among other things) the Sun God, and Hermes was the messenger of the gods bestowed with great speed. However something that some of you may have missed is that in another, she had twins.
