Loved this but I’m pretty sure season 2 Barry was erased from that night after the timeline reset at the end of season 3 Also I liked the idea of Barry having a happy ending otherwise Oliver’s sacrifice would have been for nothing Either way this was 100x better then what we got

This is exactly how it should've gone Lemme tell you how they really should've done it,in season 7 they should've planted the seed using Letchers thawne, tease him here and there then at the end of season 7 the season finale should've been barry leading a mission in the future with cisco and Caitlyn,when they get there thawne and Barry meet, thawnes fan boying while Barry's awkwardly and uncomfortably Shaking his hand because he knows which thawne it is and realises it's not the same one who killed his mom,the whole day Barry's wearing a mask and him alongside Caitlyn and Cisco work with thawne to fix a device that broke during the travel, thawne tells Barry he wants to be like him and he's already figured how to create speed of his own,thawne vibrates his hand and says "extraordinary isn't it" time thawne lighting is yellow, they talk for a while then thawne asks Barry to teach him how to use his powers, Barry tells thawne he can't because he doesn't have time but he wishes him the best because he doesn't want to ruin the timeline by changing thawnes origin,thawne wishes team flash safe travels and they leave, there's a ceremony held at the Flash museum (meanwhile thawne there, watching and sees there's a problem )Caitlyn sees what's about to happen, Barry's talking to cisco about how to use the device and then Caitlyn screams "Barry!!" and points towards the danger,barry being Barry sees the danger(thawne sees it too, quickly changes into a flash like uniform... feeling inspired by his adventure with the flash he attempts to stop the danger and just as he's about to save the crowd) and runs towards it and saves everyone, Barry gets praised, people are surprised and wondering why the flash is there because he died like a hundred years ago,they praise Barry and scream "FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH!!" ,Thawne watches this, devastated that his hero took tha credit for a save that was supposed to be his,he becomes enraged and full of anger,goes back to his lab to figure a way to make himself even faster and something goes wrong with the machine,he runs out of anger and as his running slowly his lighting becomes red and he realises that instead of being the flash why not be the reverse. Barry goes back to 2022 and the episode ends Then in season 8 they tease it more and more until the last episode of the season at the end they show thawne figuring out who the flash is and when he does he whispers "barry allen" he goes back in time and tries to figure as much about Barry as he can,then in season 9 the whole season should've been leading up to that night in 2000, Thawne reveals he's here and that he knows who the flash is,they fight,go back in time, Barry stops himself from saving his mom , Barry saves his younger self, Thawne kills his mom and then the circle is complete

@tjmasemola4054 If only the show had writers like you. This is brilliant and easily the finale that would’ve given the Flash a good send off however I would like to change a few things. The fight either happens in season 10 (2024) or just in season 9 but they time jump just one year from 2023 to 2024. Then they give Barry the suit his OG future self was wearing in season 1 with the vibration effect. Then they also reveal to us that all this will happen in the Crises as originally showed in the newspaper. Barry is confused since the crises is done with, in season 6 but in reality it was not the crises in which Barry was supposed to fight Thawne,but it was the “Infinite Earths” one which was always supposed to come in 2019 but there was no newspaper about it and the Monitor just found one from the future and uploaded to Gideon’s mainframe explaining why was the date of newspaper set to 2019. Then everything happens like you added and this becomes the best series finale ever and they also explain that this fight happened between our Barry(the one that got his powers by Thawne) and the Reverse Flash and not the OG timeline Flash, like it was originally supposed to happen because the crises on infinite earths changed the timeline and now since post crises the OG timeline Barry doesn’t exist there has to be a future Flash who stops his younger self from intervening since now the timeline is one single unified timeline, and I have seen so many people confused that how did this fight happen in the first place and this is actually the reason it happened,making this fight possible. Then the Flash becomes the lightning bolt that originally struck him and thus he vanishes in the crises. Bro once more, they need writers like you. Hope you guys liked my take on it ❤️

This alternate fan cut was almost perfect, it just needed a single extra scene to cap it off. We all know what it is, it’s that scene where Barry dissolves into pure energy transforming into that famous lightning bolt from the comics then cutting to the scene where the lightning bolt Barry strikes 2014 Barry in the beginning of the show finally closing the loop..

That's some good splicing... however, a couple of points in argument for a longer cut: a) Based on when it was sposed to happen being during Crisis, it wouldve made sense to throw in a bit of the scenes pertaining to the fight against the Anti-Monitor. b) There are segments on YT that splice together every iteration of what happens at the Allen House that night from throughout the series. Would be even more impressive cut to combine those type of splices with this. c) The part in the end feels like a reference to something else that coulda been a nice add-on as well: Barry becoming the lightning bolt that chose him. But in spite of all that, this is already superior than the actual S9 of the Flash. So kudos

Thanks for the feedback! a) i'm gonna be honest, I never really watched S6 Crisis. I preferred to keep this focused on Thawne alone, since he's Barry's true nemesis - because of this night b) similarly, I wanted to keep this focused on S9 Barry and not feel like a flashback. tbh I should have removed the scene at 9:44. Keep the flow going smoothly. (maybe I'm overthinking this) c) I was leaning toward this but I know a circular ending is a little controversial, so I just wanted to imply it

part 1 of the "a new world" finale is the only part that seemed to have had decent portion of good writing. it's a prime example of the legacy of every flash season after 2. a good start, promising/intriguing set up that sparks your own imagination, but then- absolute lackluster pay off or missing out on so many good opportunities to turn things around a bit. it's one of the most unfortunate losses of tv/writing potential I've seen. really hope the right people get inspired and movies or another tv show is made that really dives into all the potential that this show merely gave a spoonful taste of once in a while.(and hopefully some of the actors appear in better material, cus some of them deserve a surgery after how hard they carried the script at times. I especially hope Grant gets to play Barry again in the future, if not just any other major role, same with Tom Cavanagh who played 25% of the cast for good reason, and I absolutely can't leave out Hartley Sawyer- he became one of the best things about the show in a time were his character story and performance was most needed, and the way they suddenly dropped him and his story was horrid, dude deserves the opportunity, for every good reason.)

This is perfect. It makes sense cause in the time vault it said that reverse flash lead an army of shadow demons which was the shadow demons that we saw in the actual crisis. He and reverse flash fight as we see in this fan edit which was done greatly. They travel back in time to that night as we see and then Barry goes back in time to help to return to crisis after saving himself and then realizes he needs to create his own pulse similar to what he did to help save the multiverse back in season 2 against zoom. Makes the video to Nora and then he obviously has a heart felt with Oliver since they both practically started it all. Barry runs to where it stops the anti matter wave from hitting earth prime and then Barry turns into pure energy of speed force and strucks his younger self in the crime lab being the lightning bolt that gave him powers. Then the heroes stop the anti monitor from destroying the world. That’s why we also see Nora say to Barry you never come back it’s because he doesn’t. Since he gave himself powers. That’s how it was suppose to be done, but they wanted to make it for cw’ish and then make it a love story and childish and that’s why it fell off sadly.

The final episode is bad but the ending is prettty good tbh. Barry has suffered way too much. He suffered a tragedy when he was a child. He has been a tortured soul since the first season. Also Earth 90 Flash and Oliver gave up their lives so that Barry could live. Barry's death would negate both their sacrifices. I am happy that he got a happy ending with his family. Also the fact that he is alive could make his appearance in future projects a possibility.

They wanted some big grandiose over the top ending when really, the show didn't need it. A simple plot involving the 2024 crisis or just Barry travelling through time to the year 2000 to fight Reverse Flash and save himself was the perfect finale. Cobalt Blue's arc was long overdue, and really, considering the finale left a lot to be desired. Episode 9x10 would've been a fine conclusion.
