That’s why Barry saw his mother last in the speedforce, and that’s why his mother is the one who came to take him to the speedforce prison, his mother will always be the single most important person to him. Savitar is by far the best example of the fallen hero archetype I've ever seen. After his true identity was revealed, he seemed more hurt and angry than cold and empty, and, as sick as his actions and intentions were, I couldn't help but feel some twisted pity towards him.

​@Squidniss Thawne never did what Zoom and Savitar had. Zoom publicly shattered Central City's confidence in the Flash and completely razed Earth 2. For God's sake, Killer Frost was terrified (not just scared) of him. Savitar was the fastest speedster Barry had ever faced on their first fight, and technically still is. No one has come close to Savitar's initial speed when he dragged Barry in and out of the speedforce effortlessly. He put the fear of God (literally) into Barry by showing him a future where he murdered the love of his life. In that future, he affected Barry so much that he gave up the cowl and disbanded team Flash. Thawne's whole motivation in season 1 was to get home. He had no interest in killing Barry at that point, while the other 2 did.

Season 3, definitely one of the most memorable seasons of the show. When I think back, It makes sense why Wally was traumatized beyond return when Barry went to the future to find out who Savitar is. Imagine the person who you consider your brother is the one that not only killed your sister, but shattered your spine in the process. Savitar was definitely one of the top villains/speedsters of the show.

Reasons why Savitar is the true God of Speed and not Godspeed 1. His suit already makes him look like a God. Not only that, it makes him so much faster, stronger, bigger, and way cooler. 2. The opera in the music for Savitar makes him sound as powerful as a God. 3. Savitar got his suit by an ancient artifact, the Philosopher's Stone. 4. Just like any Demon or God, they can be sealed. Sealing the Philosopher's Stone would seal Savitar as well. 5. Last but not least, GOD FEELS NO PAIN!

Totally. For me, it strikes a similar yet different tone than Reverse Flash’s theme. RF’s theme sounds like Barry’s but just…wrong. Savitar’s theme also sounds like a “wrong” version of Barry’s theme but it gives off a completely different vibe, if you know what I mean.

@@darealkay7517 when Barry went to the past with Nora, savitar saw them and said “it is written, this will make you like me”. He wanted Barry to suffer like he did, and when Barry went to the future he realized that Barry would recover if he killed Iris. Instead keeping iris alive led to Barry loosing nora, trillions of deaths in crisis, Barry loosing touch with both Cisco and Caitlin, and Thawnes rise in the future.

Savitar is a perfect example of showing we all can live long enough to let the pain, suffer, darkness determining who we are. Although we can't change the fact, I will try all means to prevent this from happening to my future self by making the wise decisions.

Just thinking back at that scene. How Barry realized the truth and Grant's acting combined with this music and that reveal made for such an epic moment. Even though a lot of people guessed who Savitar was long before the reveal it didn't diminish this moment. Even now knowing the villains we've gotten after that i can honestly say Savitar has been more interesting to see. Personally i feel like he should have been reserved for the end of the show. He would be a good final villain.

I think the best final villain would be the *real* Savitar, the true first speedster and God of Speed, with Future Flash/"Savitar" returning from the dead and going through a redemption arc while helping Barry and Team Flash against him.

@@ghidorah15 Sadly that wouldn't be possible in any way. There simply isn't a true God of Speed. And Barry Allen himself was the real Savitar. It isn't like he stole the identity of another speedster. Also that version of Barry can't come back ever for two reasons. 1. He was erased from existence and 2. To make it even worse the entire timeline of Earth-1 was erased from existence. So you'll never be able to see him again. This is why Savitar was a villain that would have been perfect for the end. Because at this point the idea of him being the first speedster makes a lot of sense because Barry Allen was the first speedster to emerge on Earth-Prime. The problem with the show is that they used to many speedsters back to back. If it were up to me i would have had The Reverse Flash as the villain of the second season. To have the reveal of Harrison Wells being Eobard Thawe be a slower build up. I would have put Zoom as the villain for season 4 and a combination of Godspeed/Red Death as the villains for season 6. And i would have closed off the show at season 8, Same as Arrow with Savitar being the final villain.

Savitar motives was justifiable and plus he is a sad character where you kind of feel bad at some points but there were moments where his point was proven multiple times because of Flash shenanigans through time.

There are Many Speedsters in this show, and some who claim to be the "God of Speed" however Savitar is the only one who ive ever seen jump in and out of the speed force while running. Its a great effect to show his speed. Due to that i do see how he lives up to that title.
