This isn’t even the actress’s fault. This is the writers’ fault. It’s the fact that Iris’s personality is actually comic accurate. That’s the problem. I always thought it was bad casting because Grant and Candice have zero chemistry with each other. In the early seasons Iris was very much like Lana Lang on Smallville in a negative way because all she did was b*tch at Barry constantly about lying to her and keeping secrets. It really got annoying! It was even worse though when she found out everything and they put her IN CHARGE of Team Flash even though she had no experience with anything!

She’s basically a ginger fleshlight that whines and complains about Barry lying or not being there. Later on in his life, she gets understanding. Iris is always supportive of Barry, but she didn’t always UNDERSTAND. CW Iris West has been mildly supportive and mildly understanding. She hasn’t really changed. Basically, in the beginning, CW Iris West is the better Iris. As time goes on, comics Iris West is the better version.

Plus its probably not gonna happen cos melissa seems done with dc and the arrowverse before flash ended, which is probably why she didnt appear for the reverse flashpoint crossover and instead chyler leigh(alex danvers) was present... I mean it makes no sense that they would avoid a barry v kara fight and instead bring alex who barry wasnt as close with when compared to kara... And heroes like batwoman were present.. Plus kara was mentioned later in the series during the episode where flash phased the nuke so i dont think she would return... Pretty awesome idea though love to see that
