Tom Cavanagh (The Flash, Ed) joins me this week and opens up about the gratitude he’s developed throughout his career after experiences with hit shows as well as series that got yanked.
Tom reveals a good deal of maturity by sharing his thoughts on self knowledge and understanding for who you are as a person.

He is indeed a gem, and so are you! The way you interview people is always in an empathetic way, never too intrusive even though you ask some intimate questions. You have a gift of putting people at ease, you created an environment of trust where your interviewees feel safe to open up to you. On this note: I don't know how recent this footage is, but if it is say from the last 2 weeks, huge appreciation for you not asking about the whole Hartley Sawyer situation. Tom Cavanagh is a national treasure. He is so funny, hilarious especially during behind the scenes for the Flash tv show. I loved his performance in the 2010 Yogi Bear live action. He played that underdog park ranger so well. His Eobard Thawne especially in season 1 was so good. It's hard to accept him as Eobard Thawne because he is opposite to the character he portrays. His sense of humor is just like your's Michael Rosenbaum. You guys have to team-up for film short.

@@InsideOfYouPodcast Great episode man. I gotta question for you if you don't mind: Would you invite Hartley Sawyer to your show? A lot of people like the dude and his role character on the Flash. I feel like he was unfairly and wrongfully fired from the show for a tweet that happened over 8 years ago. Comedians back then used to crack jokes which was socially acceptable back then before _cancel culture_ came out of the cracks. Most comedians these days are terrified to crack a joke because of cancel culture which is something I find sad and restrictive in this climate. Whether or not Hartley's jokes were in poor tastes in a tweet that happened nearly a decade ago, people change and more than likely he's not the same guy. I get the feeling that Eric Wallace the new producer is a racist hypocrite who went out of his way to fire him. Sorry for the long-winded post...I got off track lol. p.s. I loved Smallvile and enjoyed the rollcoaster ride of your character throughout the 10 seasons. You're without a doubt the best Lex Luthor just as Hugh Jackman is the best Wolverine and Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man.

Thank you for this podcast. I wonder, what do his bracelets/handbands mean? I could ony see what's written on his black handband: "I know God's working so I smile". I'm a believer so for me seeing Tom wearing such a handband was awesome. Listening to him is inspiring. I'm so glad that they kept Tom on for all the seasons in the concept that they made in Flash for him. All characters I believe are equally as important but. In my personal opinion, is probably one of the most important on the show. Thanks for the work you do. I hope there's at least three or four more seasons of Flash. Michael, I am glad you like going to conventions. I do have a brief story that I hope some find entertaining. I was attending Popculture Con in Denver, 2019. My friends and I were in line for Patrick Warburton's autograph/picture. For context, those of us who paid on the spot were partnered with convention employees who wrote down our names on scraps of paper so that the celebrity we were meeting would know our names. Michael, your booth was directly to the left, if not one over to Warburton's. While we were in line making small talk, I felt something hit my back. I turned around, and saw a small piece of crumpled paper. I can't remember if I made eye contact, but I realized that you were crumpling the small papers and throwing them at random people in line! It was hilarious and made my group laugh. Next time, I will make sure to get into your line :) Thanks for doing this show!
