Good, good a Flash video . Over the years , our favorite love speedster was haunted sometimes by nightmares ,started more seriously right after Zoom Broke Back Mountain him but at the time he was still learning to be a speedster, but Psych ? In the episode where he lost his memories , Julian and Csisky talked about how they didnt count for Barry s speed , Barry is way faster in his mind , Caitlin also confirmed this many times . Barry is fast enough that no nightmare should be possible to catch him . With Bloodwork it was a total plot thing ,they didnt have the time to do this big fight scene so they locked Barry and Bloodwork in a nightmare and that was it , but Barry should not be possible having nightmares at his current speed

I just hope they don't pull a tachyon (by that I mean they had tachyons in season 2 and never used it on speedster villains like savitar or the race with zoom in the season finale of season 2)

I always assumed that he just used his speed or higher metabolism to burn the tranquilizer out of his system. Hence the green mist and why Oliver was surprised that he could do that. I never thought he was phasing in that episode. So I agree with your theory, it makes more sense.

I think it’s phasing, it’s just that it’s such a low level of phasing that Barry doesn’t even consider it new. A gas’s atoms are farther apart than a solid’s, so it’s probably a lot easier for Barry to phase a gas than a solid. He doesn’t consider it phasing then, just vibrating like how he vibrates his face and vocal cords.

I have two theories 1. He was under control of the rage that bivolo put on him therefore he wasn’t in control so maybe he just phased but then he forgot it because he wasn’t himself when he did it. 2. He just speed himself up to remove the toxins

For years I grew up reading how the Flash was vibrating his molecules to slip between the molecules of whatever object he wanted to pass thru, and now when it's introduced, it's called "phasing" (which makes me think of Kitty Pryde). The word really doesn't do it justice. :)

I literally wondered this too when it happened. I remember thinking, “How and when did Barry learn to do that? I know he’s able to do it. But, he hasn’t before this episode.” Maybe they filmed the Trickster episode first and had to rearrange the order of release for the episodes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen season 1. Someone correct me if my theory is wrong. I’m not being facetious, please correct me.

I think it could be that when Barry is opening a locked door he vibrates his hands to break the lock, when Barry is talking w iris before she knew he was the flash he vibrates his body, I think he’s jsut vibrating really fast here to the point that the gas could leak out of his body, but phasing he can phase out of basically anything so maybe he just vibrates fast but not fast enough and didn’t know he could vibrate faster to phase

I always figured he moved fast enough to create an enormous amount of sweat, basically sweating all out at once 🤔. For example after body builders and soldiers do an extreme amount of exercise you can see their body temp clash with the cooler air, causing the steam effect. But I could be wrong

I think Barry was just vibrating the same way he vibrates his vocal cords. Actually phasing through a solid object is much different and far more specific than what he’s doing here. Also it’s just a superhero show there doesn’t have to be a whole lot of logic to everything haha.

Phasing is vibrating your body at the right energy wave to go through a wall. It is vibration of your body not some different ability that he has just developed. He's been using this ability since the first episode. The use is what is different. Vibrating a liquid and thus hitting it with enough energy to vaporize it into a gas form. That is easy. Vibrating enough to run through a wall to phase through it. That is a totally different use of the ability.

I got a question on the FLASH season 1. In season 1 episode 20 Cisco vibes for the 1st real time and saw the other timeline that Barry changed because of weather wizard. So my question is that since Cisco can vibe other timelines could he see the original timeline where the reverse flash is from?

I don't know how the science works but I always assumed that Barry's vibrations generated heat or electricity that interfered with the tranquilizer causing it to break down and become useless. his vibrations can shatter glass like he did at the end of arrow season 3 in nanda parbat so maybe a similar thing happened but on a lower level

Want to talk about phasing then that is not the first time he phased, you have to go more back when he first fought the reverse flash when they where in the stadium and and they ran at each other before reverse flash could punch him out, they show Barry for a bit and play the phasing sound

Here's what I think. We were always told that soeedsters generate heat in the form of lightning when they run. I thought Barry just internalised that heat to turn the tranquilizer into a gas and pushed it out of his system as sweat

Barry screw up the timeline 2. Barry lose his powers either by plot/number 1 3. A Wells is present, whether is a real or not 4. The core team 5. A New Speedster/speed boost introduce 6. The villain lost (except Eva) 7. Time-traveling, whether it's good or not
