Thanks man! I'm surprised how a lot of people aren't happy with it... I think they have a lot of ideas what it can do (say, maybe for their Google Home) and only find out afterwards it doesn't work how they hoped. I think if you know what it does, it's a really cool device. We still use it all the time.

Its very well built, too bad that it doesnt have alot of integration. The twist function only works with hue, lifx, ikea smart lights (got mine today)

I know... I just bought a bunch of Govee bulbs. There might be some solutions with the IFTT app but I wasn't really in the mood to figure that out. They do say they're working with Google integration which would be really nice. I agree. With a little more integration it'll be nice because this works great with my hue and Sonos. But I'd like to more third party companies added.

this thing is so bad.. i received my flic twist today.. So if you want to do volume settings well only SONOS devices can do that. Support for nanoleaf? Sure but not the twist part only the push button works!? no google home support do you have smart blinds? Well only the Ikea brand is supported.. To be honest this is my worst purchase in years and if i can save 1 person throwing away his money its all good.. this is clearly a sponsored video, and that's okay but do make sure to warn your viewers also for the bad stuff as the bad stuff is really bad.. your selling out your viewers.. this was a kickstarted project in which they under delivered on features, don't let this video hype you up as this is only half of the story. i would recommend their reviews on kickstarted to see for your self what a dumster fire this is...

I wasn't paid or anything to make this video and I do agree with a lot of the points you made. The thing is, I have Sonos stuff and I do have a lot of Philips Hue lights... so while it certainly doesn't work for every smart product like you mentioned, IF you have what it works for, it's great! I use mine everyday. I was highlighting what it is good at in the video and the possibility it offers instead of talking about the bad. Also fyi, I was talking with the company and they told me they are trying to add Google Home support as well as to continue to expand their lineup of products they work with but I imagine it will take time. They are trying. They also suggested you can get some of those other products to work with the ITTT app but I didn't have the time to figure that out. Hopefully they offer a refund for you though, ever good product should.

@@FlooDnl1 Oh it's all good man. You can't have a KZbin channel if you can't handle comments... and to be honest, I don't blame you. I see both sides right... I see entrepreneurs creating a product they want to be awesome but it's not quite there yet. Then us consumers get told it's awesome so we spend our hard earned money on it and when it doesn't deliver what was promised, well it sucks. Hopefully they continue to improve their product because I think it's pretty cool and could be AWESOME if they can add more major products to work with it.

Mate, this is really a good product. All you have to do is explore a bit. What I have done is all my nano leaf and other smart devices are integrated with Alexa and through flic twist I just trigger them on a simple click.

Gotta admit this would be so useless for me. I have a phone and a BOSE speaker and thats about all my smart devices.

Hahaha, oh I totally get it. I legit wrote them an email saying I didn't want it. I just didn't want to have to unpack AND setup all our smart crap lol. I did though so I guess their email was a nice spark for me to get off my butt. It's pretty cool though considering we do have 10+ smart lights and all sorts of smart speakers etc, not gonna lie.

Does not support smart life/ tuya... So virtually useless for 60% of avalible devices... Do pretty much not alot..... 😮

I agree. If you have the devices supports it's pretty cool. But like you said it's a pretty small playground to play in. I got the impression after chatting with them that they're working hard to quickly expand their lineup... And if that's the case that's awesome. But if that's just a bunch of smoke they're blowing then that's kind of a bummer.

I guess the idea of it seemed cool... That my kids or parents could easily dim the lights or music...but yeah, we have voice stuff that works for that. And the fact it doesn't work with a few of the major players stopped it from being bigger than it is. Like if it I could dim my Nanoleafs that alone would make me use it daily... But it can't. I made this review when it first launched and the company assured me they were working on it and new features were around the corner but I never heard anything after that.
