I worked with a team that built a lot of the animatronics on this ride. Some for the Scooby house and Batman ride too. Fun stuff. Thanks for the video.

Loved it. Not every ride has to be a thrill ride folks. Liked the story, and its fun just to revisit these wonderful beloved characters and thier awesome town. Who wouldnt want to spend a few cool leisurely moments drifting through Bedrock? I wish this ride made it to the states.

Wow! That was really fantastic, the art direction to make it look like the original Flintstones but in three dimensions is spot on! Pretty fitting that there is little movement going on, since the original show had quite a bit of limited animation tricks. Nice to see that not everything has to be some major over the top production in a theme park, but can still be really fun. It really feels like something that could have been made in the 50's or 60's which is very fitting for the Flintstones. Growing up in the 80's there were numerous reboots of Flintstones, the last one I can recall is Flintstones kids, but there were a lot of "specials" as well... like "Jetsons meet the Flintstones" in 1987. Then of course there is Boomerang and Cartoon Network for seeing all the re-runs and introducing new generations to this classic show. I really love how a lot of theme parks outside the United States embrace an older aesthetic inherent to amusement parks for decades utilizing dark ride techniques that pre-date Disney, carrying on the tradition before the mouse took over. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney parks, but there is a certain charm to these throw back rides that can't be duplicated with newer technology.

Little known fact: The Flintstones is actually a post-apocalyptic dystopia, in which a tech-deprived future society patterns its behavior on the only bit of history they have - reruns of "The Honeymooners." (Actually, I have no idea.)

Dafuq?! What is it with these United Emirates theme parks and their dark rides? All seem to feature irritatingly slow vehicles passing by limited movement animatronic figures. So far, Dragon Gliders is the ONLY ride there that's worth riding.

Britain Morris Splash Mountain is one of Disney's most popular attractions and kids know less about Song of the South than they do about the Flintstones. I grew up in the 90s and still watched The Flintsones.

Britain Morris "Even the rare kid with a passing familiarity..." Just because "The Flintstones" barely even airs on TV anymore doesn't mean nobody knows who they are.
@MorrisCreativeStudio6 жыл бұрын
I agree, but Splash Mountain makes sense as a story even without Song of the South. This ride assumes you know the Waterbuffalo brotherhood, or that Dino and Baby Puss (had to look that one up) get into fights, etc. It's not as simple as 'fox and bear want to catch rabbit'.
