Great video as always. I was watching your CT hike last year before I started heading to Durango myself. I ended up making the mini Stroopwaffles a part of my snack mix because you made the regular sized ones look so good!! 🤣🤣 🤘🕑

A croaking Gator ???? Here in Central Florida the ones I know bellow like a wounded Tiger. A nice cool moist night they will make the hair on you neck , arms and just about everywhere else stand on end. You must of heard one of the south Florida ones. lol

@@packtoter I like your style of hiking , taking it easy , seeing the sights and smelling the Roses for better terminology. Seams like everyone is in a rush when there is so much to see and enjoy they blast past it. I'm with you , 80 and still breathing.

Really cool you finally got to see a panther. I’m sure it feels nice to have dry feet.

Night hiking in the Florida swamp. You certainly have a healthy set of cajones on you.

You mention the "strut waffle" often. Do you have a link for what that is?

Hi - I like your hiking boots (the kind you would wear on normal terrain, not the special kind you mentioned you used just for the swamp). What make and model are they? I am a senior hiker like yourself and have wide, flat bothersome feet. Do you think they might work well for me? I like your channel - just started following! Your video's are fun!!

I still buy Altra Lone Peak 3.5 mids used on Ebay. They went out of production several years ago. You can still buy Altra Lone Peaks. They are known for their wide toe box. I just prefer the old style. If it ain't broke, Don't fix it. Keep Smilin'

I'm surprised you don't use gaiters like the dirty girl gaiters to keep some of that silt out of your socks. you should tell us what you're eating for breakfast!
@packtoter9 ай бұрын
I don't use gaiters because I wear mid boots and long pants. But sand is invasive and shoe material is porous, so it is just something to deal with. Hikers with gaiters seemed to be having more problems than me. I eat the same breakfast every morning, unless I'm carrying a stove. Granola mixed with freeze dried Blueberries, pb2, Nido milk, almonds, chia seeds, and a couple chewable multivitamins. Keep Smilin'
