Dan will always be a huge inspiration to me....especially when i am building wooden drops and ladder bridges in my local habitat...wooden features are the spark that fuels my trail building and reason to freeride and keep the spirit of the north shore extreme video series and Diggers wooden juggernaut alive and well ..for the future riders that never got to fathom the extreme joy of riding your first wooden feature on the trail! Thank you to all those riders and builders in north shore past....and present that keep trail building alive and especially those that take it to the next level! Digger we salute you and all that you have done let us all keep the no fear mantra alive and keep building trails that inspire others!! Get out there and build!!!! 💪⛏️🪚🪓⚙️🪜🍻☠️😊

Wild! What an epic era for mountain biking. Upper Oil-Can-Pink Starfish-Boundary. Dan can have the high times. Ridiculator would’ve been fun to try 🤘🔨

Even dying and green it's still amazing to walk it. I rode some of it back in 05/06 before it started really falling apart. Video footage does not do it justice. The skybridge was huge. The Ridiculator was scary just to walk on.

I hiked it in 2015 after seeing this video, so cool to see all the old stunts and to think people rode them back in the day! For sure a piece of north shore mtb history.

Watching dan ride this trail on northshore extreme movies is what fueled my passon to freeride. We watched these movies at taylor cycle in sudbury... while at work.. people came in and bought armour and big burly tires then came back for chain ring guards and bigger forks after seeing me ride crazy lines. They wanted in too. Because of nsx free ride came to sudbury. Thanks Dylan and myself spandex shorts and xc bikes were a thing of the past.

Its a re-upload, at the time of re-uploading it was only on vimeo so I thought I would put it on YT, not actually sure who made the original but all credit goes to them, just thought it was sick and well made mini documentary and wanted to share it on youtube!

@@flyby4by You cant ride it anymore but you can still hike it and see some of the crazy old stunts (rotting and falling apart but when i hiked it in 2015 alot still standing) and its still a pretty cool hike if you want to see some crazy mountain biking history, although you will have to bush wack a bit since its all grown over now.

This is a reminder (and I have ridden the Shore for 43 years) as to why trails relying on constructed stunts is a bad idea.....they don't last. Dan is a good rider, no doubt, but lacked the wisdom to appreciate the implications and consequences of the trails he was building, which were only for the top 10%, or those whom had no pain threshold....nailing into live trees doesn't help.
