Nice little video. I would have to agree with the title if it weren't for the LC80. The shorter wheelbase is a huge advantage in turning radius, plus breakover angle. But I do live in a mountain range where those things are important. The front bumper on my LC80 is also high clearance, so no issues for mine there. The only thing the K10 really has on it is incline angle, but that's a given considering the length. The bed/bumper hang out pretty far back to where it drags and catches tremendously on the K10 in a rock crawling scenario, and it tips very easily due to its height, length, and wheels. That being said, if you were to mod them both to be purpose crawlers, LC80 wins every time. So, imo, LC80 is still the ticket in actual rock crawling minis. K10 would be second for me. So I put them both being the best two rtr mini crawlers, myself. K10 just has a better incline, which is countered on a shorter wheelbase by weighting the front axle. That's just the facts of rc crawling. Nobody is trying to stretch them out that far, many huge disadvantages in that as opposed to shorter wheelbase crawlers, esp when modded up. Just my .02 backed by years of experience in extreme rock crawling.

Hey thanks for this awesome and detailed response. I have a pretty limited knowledge of rock crawling. I've always been the basher and airplane/heli guy. But these little things have been giving me a bunch of fun. I do love the LC80 but I kept getting caught on things with it. I'll have to do a video show down between the two and use your comment as a reference. As far as looks for for me it's definitely the Toyota 😎

@MikesHobbyPlanet not a problem, brother. Happy to spread a little knowledge here n there. You're definitely not wrong, tho. I also believe the FCX18 platform to be the best in minis by a long shot. Between these two, they will both have disadvantages and advantages over the other. It also all depends on how far you go with one or the other. They're excellent! And I can't wait for my K10 to show up, as well. Cheers to ya, and happy crawling, always!

The shocks through the bed and the bad electronics quality from FMS just kills this brand for me.
@MikesHobbyPlanet10 ай бұрын
Can't say much about the electronics for me, at this point anyways. Hobby Wing makes the ESC so those are pretty tried and true. Receivers are fly sky, also tried and true. Let's see how the servos and motors stand up to the test of time.

Electronics have been great in my fcx24 K5, haven’t heard much bad about what’s in the fcx18 either.

The body looks good except the shock coming thru the bed but those electronics and diff gears are toy grade.
