An explanation 4 butcher: AFAIK bosses will trigger you after they hear or see you, like a regular mob. Running through their lair will definitely draw their attention, but crouching will not. They also have some kind of attack priority. So if you attack the boss he will try to revenge even if he can't. He will reagr to someone else, but in time. So yes, it's possible to stay hidden in the boss lair. That's not an inside, just my observations. :)

Was also frustrated yesterday. Bounty team blocked all entrances except one at poultry and sat inside with 2 shotguns and one longammo gun.
