I have a 2019 Mustang Bullitt and I do all my own oil changes. When I remove the oil filter through the trap door I use a paper plate to direct the oil out though the opening. This keeps everything clean on the underside of the car.

I bought my GT350 used but had Ford do the first oil change and was the last. Same deal as yours. I looked under the car the day after and saw oil drips. Not as bad as yours but unacceptable and started changing my own oil on the Shelby. I ordered the oil funnel from Jon Gore and it’s absolutely perfect. I still change my oil thru the trap door but used a cardboard piece that has 45 degree bend and it drains perfectly. No mess and no drips after the oil change. You’re right about one thing, sometimes if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.

Thanks for the shout out! When the dealership did my 1,000 mile break-in oil change, I had an identical experience to yours. I’m a neat freak so it really pissed me off! Between a sloppy dealership oil change, and changing the oil after each track weekend (8 times a year), I needed to design the oil filter guide for my own sanity after the form-a-funnel just didn’t cut it. Thanks again for the kind words!! -Jon

I'm almost at 3k myself. I have a solid gt350 oil change video that every ford tech should watch. I worked on these cars all the time at the dealership for over a year

I experienced the same exact thing with a dealer oil change. I didn’t make it home. I stopped at a light and the smoke that was coming out of the hood, I thought the car was on fire. I got her home, let it cool off. I had oil from one end of the car to the other! I’ll never go back to Ford for an oil change!

@@EGPerformance bro I bought it from the ford dealer and they didn't even have an oil change done before selling it. So mad. Oil life said 50% but yet it's so low on oil. Hoping I didn't ruin the motor

Dealerships simply don't care, that's why I do that myself.

Ford BossME.. his channel is great he is a Ford technician and he does great work at his dealership. Sucks some of these technician just don't care. Should not matter what kinda of car you have. It's customer service. If you don't want to be a car technician then look for something else

Very sad to see, but not surprised. I worked at a dealership as a lube tech for about two years in total and there was little to no training. I do all my own work because of that because I've experienced first had what goes on at the dealership. I'm not saying all dealerships are like that, but the one I worked at could give a care in the world about how the work was done just as long as it was done and I was getting the next customer in.
