@I'm Right You're Wrong some things look better like the crash sequence when you see the plane going through the trees which I really like, lighting look more "horror" like, the cave design, lighting and some reflections look better, and I really like how they tried to make the trees bend slightly when falling, the textures are pretty shit the water is.......... there and some lighting/shadows especially at open areas and beaches don't look great but if they added some things back from early version like the cave area when you die would be awesome and mix in some new lighting.

I didn't have this game back then. I didn't even know it existed till I found out that it was a top 10 VR game when VR became supported. It lived up to it's hype as one of the best VR experiences I have ever had. This month I finally tried to give it a try without VR on my PS5, and I finally got to be able to survive and thrive in a non-VR version of the game. Damn, I can't wait till Sons of The Forest has a VR mode!

I've never really found The Forest to be a scary game, but I remember when the very first bits of gameplay were out for it, I really liked it because it had a unique take on horror, being watched from a far distance away and not actually getting close to any cannibals until a day or two in was a lot more nerve wracking than the cheap jump scares you see in a lot of horror games.

This is very different from how it actually was in the very beginning... they changed development to a different engine entirely which changed graphics/performance/AI/Textures. All I gotta say is I didn't see any backwards bunnies scurrying around!

It does have some stuff I wish was in the forest we have today, some stuff of the plane crash was awesome, and looks of the plane crash also looks cool, the atmosphere is PERFECT, it really gives an un easy feel, and the the beach and other landscapes look bigger and different which I like. I also like the boat and how much vegetation there were. The cave was also cool and as he said the mountain was bigger. I loved the fog and shit, across the spruce trees
