I felt into this trap and moved to industry. 8 years in total, 39 papers in PubMed., had federal fellowship in Canada and was in a grant. Left 8 years too late

Thanks for the informative video. I have one question how much time in a 1(2) year Postdoc position should I start looking for new ones ?

I think you need to give it a year before deciding to jump to another Postdoc.

Hello...very insightful video..I was wondering about how to talk to a prospective PI about the sponsorship situation for postdocs on a J1 visa while switching labs...if you could make a video addressing this particular topic it would be very helpful. Once, again thank you for putting out so much valuable information. Really appreciate your work! Thanks.

now in a lot of the postdoc job postings I am seeing in the social sciences, they require that you can't be more than 5 years past getting your PhD degree.

Makes sense to me! Glad they are doing that and not taking advantage of people jumping from Postdoc to Postdoc.
