It also only showcases firefights with cyborgs in the middle of the map. Fight any where close to the edge and the new ones that spawn will instantly overwhelm you. Also no fights with soldiers, they will send out drones to track you down so that the footsoldiers easily can find you. Yes shooting this much and surviving is possible against cyborgs. But try these tactics on the soldiers that are part of the warmachine and you will have a very bad time. This guy has also progressed somewhat with his backpack and weapons. This is not how early game looks.

I do hope devs add melee weapons for potential stealth takedowns of single enemy targets. Since firing weapons seems to be a very risky thing and it would make sense for a scavenger to atleast have a knife ready on hands at all times.

Having a knife is a good idea, not really for a combat purposes tho imo, but could be useful to fend off some small grapple attacks if there are gonna be any. i dont think that melee stealth kills really make sense in a situation like full blown war zone where all units are moving swiftly all around.

It's definitely worth the $30usd even right now, in my opinion. It's janky but a ton of fun, especially if you have another person or group to play with. Definitely a different feeling from most other extraction shooters. And the devs seem to have very strong opinions against many of the issues that most gamers agree have started to suck the life out of the industry. If they're telling their truth, which in this case i genuinely believe they are, this game will get astronomically better. And it's already better than a lot of titles just for the vibes

@@johncarver357 The were a few places he had other options. Go around, wait, or go through. I think I see the reason why some are confused/frustrated by the game. It is not always evident if what strategy the player should use at any given moment. Buggy and glitching in the early access makes this worse. A lot of his game play style makes the game look more like a traditional shooter. Which is fine but kinda goes against what the game is advertised as.

First time I have seen someone that knows what they are about, for FW. Good to see. The game, sounds travel a long way when there is no battle nearby. Rifle fire is very load. Everyone/everything with ears is going to notice. 60 kilograms plus, is a lot of weight. You move slower and make more noise. Plus, I did not see if the character had ear protection. Without it, their ears a going to be ringing, at the end of this one mission And hearing damage, will be noticable. I know that is nitpicking. The game is awesome looking. I am just waiting for the day that your survival/post apocalyptic game is hyper realistic.

Those aren't robots. They're cyborgs, which means they're augmented humans. If there's one thing humans in hellish situations love to do in order to cope, it's drink. Heavily. From what I understand (and I could be wrong, this was from a video a while back) those cyborgs are involuntary conscripts who are forcibly augmented and then dropped onto the battlefield in large numbers as a form of shock troop. These people (what's left of them) still have enough of their minds left to know that if they manage to somehow survive, and kill enough of the enemy then maybe, MAYBE, they'll be given their old lives and bodies back. I would imagine that alcohol (and lots of it) goes a long way to helping the poor souls cope with the living hell they find themselves in.

PP-19 putting in some work! Honestly suprised how a kinky small 9mm SMG actually seem to be better than an AK or M4 in-game at least, dunno how I feel about the SVD though, barely seen to I resign from commenting on it. The game also looks pretty solid for an early access, its already far better than 90% of earlies nowadays, if they work out the kinks and bugs, add some more stuff like animations for consumables, stamina because I did not see stamina being temporary, different ammo types and the like.

Not sure if you're aware, but the optics on most weapons are severely offset. The TrueAim 4x on the SVD sends shots at the first notch below the crosshairs in most cases. You have to aim one notch lower at longer ranges. The bullets never actually reach the crosshair. A good rule of thumb is recalibrate where you're aiming based on where hitmarkers appear, since hitmarkers only appear where your bullets are landing. Alternatively, just aim exclusively in 3rd person, since your first shot will always go dead center of the 4 squares.

As much as I think this version of Ashen Mesa looks so cool, it kinda of bothers me though from a lore standpoint. If the moon was THAT close to earth, to cause an eclipse of that size, the earth would probably be suffering from massive earthquakes, and crazy ocean tides from the moon's gravity. I know its a game, and is probably there because of the rule of cool, but I'd still love a lore reason for it.
