Great history, lessons! Spent a lot of time playing at Vasquez Rocks Park as a kid and taking photos there as an adult. Had to laugh at your pronunciation, though. Still loved it!

I lived in Lancaster, 30-miles from Vasquez Rocks, for 34-years and I'd stop if was in the area. Its worth an hour to walk around the rock formations. The Vasquez Rocks Natural Area and Nature Center was more information.

ur BACK! in Cali! I live in San Benito County. That's Hollister, Tres Piños, San Juan Bautista. They named an elementary school in Salinas (Monterey County) after him! I know he is a sign of the times. He had hide outs here in the Flint Hills.
