War is Hell. German generals said that they were always confident that they could slow the British advance once it reached the canals and boggy ground of Holland. I salute all the Allied soldiers and the brave people of Holland.

Thank you for the video. My grandfather was with the USA 7AD and it hasn't been easy finding information, especially since it didn't go as well for them as other operations. The American perspective is hard to find. I love that this is full of people that were there.

My Grandad was in the 90th Middlesex HAA RA and fought in this area in an anti tank role. Both his personal diary and the Regimental history, produced shortly before crossing the Rhine, mention this battle as being very hard fighting indeed.
