Use it like a snowball. You're hitting them and you throw it that way they can't commit to comboing you. It forces them to stay and get the tick damage which will kill them or to run away which puts you in the advantageous position because they are low. I've found it's best in 1v1s on players islands because you can block the bridge off forcing them to stay near it. You can also use it defensively for the same reason, forcing them to leave and stop hitting you if you throw it down when comboed.

The problem with the dragon fireball is that it's so unimaginably useless in MOST situations so you never buy it. It's good when you need to deal massive damage to the target that has no access to move. You need to play bad for it to work cuz instead of killing someone you are trapping them. It still can be useful for making literal gas rooms even if you are playing professionally but its too rare. I would fix it that way: make it deal poison effect that does 4 hearts of damage after hitting the target once. Or make a lower price lmao

its more useful in duos and squads, becasue yes it hurts you but it does not hurt your teammates so if your teammates need to block in you can throw a dragon breath ball on your teammates and they will be invisible for a few seconds, its more usefully then a fireball because of how bugged the fireball is, fireballs are not consistant, sometimes they break a few blocks sometimes they break 1, so untile hive fixes that or makes the price a but cheaper then then fireballs just suck, both their prices suck anyway
