Hey! This is a remake of an older video I uploaded 2 years ago, so if it seems somewhat familiar, that could be why! This video has a lot more information, visuals and corrects some mistakes I made in the other one. Enjoy!

The problem is that Disney/MGM Studios was also a really cheap park. It cost $500 million to build, though it was not even a half-day park when it did open. (In fact, the Orlando park is famous for being considered a half-day park all the up until they built Toy Story Land and Galaxy's Edge, THIRTY YEARS AFTER THE PARK OPENED!!) Euro Disney reportedly cost $4.8 billion, with just the Disneyland portion costing around $2B. The budget for the Studios park was originally $2.3B. It was still mostly the same park as Disney/MGM, which even after small additions still didn't cost $2 BILLION! Clearly the bulk of it was meant for the actual working studio with the park portion costing way less. Even then, they went from cheap to cheaper and still somehow managed to spend way too much money!

Crazy to think how diverse the Hollywood based parks would be if MGM stayed with Disney.

Let's hope disney can fix the mistakes they made with Walt Disney Studios and turn it into something as spectacular as this with it changing to Disney Adventure World

I believe the future is bright to the once minuscule park. The expansion will open way to even more possible opportunities, but in the end, Disney needs to keep investing in it!

It still sounds like a giant shopping mall themed to a movie studio .

Where did you find the gone with the wind background music? I've been looking for it everywhere
@themainstreetnews6 ай бұрын
The background music is the original Front Lot BGM (day version) from Walt Disney Studios!

Man, That tram tour would have been nice specially if it added to the kinetic energy of the park the only downside: the gas smell
@themainstreetnews6 ай бұрын
That’s a valid point, maybe by now they could’ve been electric? Haha

I love the mix of soundtracks of the video! Where can I find it? BTW I can:t believe that the park was going to start with just 3 rides. I think that the European visitors would have been disappointed.

The background music is the original Walt Disney Studios Front Lot BGM (day version)! While it would only have 3 rides, the park would come with many attractions. Plus, one of the rides would be a very long experience with different elements. Would it have worked well? Maybe. However, it’s very likely that one of the first expansions would be Sunset Boulevard with Tower of Terror just like in Orlando!
@Taydar6 ай бұрын
No matter if they made it, you can safely assume it would be completely different now.
@themainstreetnews6 ай бұрын
Completely agree. The first expansion after opening would likely be Sunset Boulevard with all that includes, such as Tower of Terror! But after than, the park would definitely receive many new IP based expansions just like Hollywood Studios, but here, they actually had a lot of space for expansion so the replacement of old rides and areas wouldn’t be as necessary

@@themainstreetnews well they kinda of rebuilding the park. Question, with the new expansion does it now meet the size of the original plans?

I wish we had the Dick Tracy ride... A gangster themed area would be so cool

This park would have been amazing! But, what bad luck that the resort started so badly, and they had to make cuts to the budget Thank you for the remake!

Indeed it would’ve been quite a bit better than WDS 😅

Great video btw! It's interesting to see what could've been with Disney parks, and it's a real shame that Walt Disney Studios Park couldn't be like this. But hey, maybe in the future, right?!... 😆
@themainstreetnews6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I agree, I love looking at these “what ifs”! Maybe the park can still become something great, with a lot of work needed in between haha

@@themainstreetnews it’s fantastic to see that some of the original plans for MGM Studios Europe are currently being implemented. When Walt Disney Studios relaunches as Disney Adventure World it’ll be so much better. With The World Of Frozen opening next year do you think the Frozen Show and meet and greet will be relocated from Animation Celebration? I think Animation Celebration should be redeveloped as a place to meet non Pixar related animated characters. As the building already contains the Animation Academy and is adjacent to The Flying Carpets Over Agrabah I think this would make sense. Should this happen I think the area should be renamed to Animation Piazza. I would like a entrance and exit portal to be built ether side of the area. Currently the area doesn’t make sense as it’s hard to differentiate from The World Of Pixar. This is weird as Aladdin is not a Pixar Film. If a self contained area isn’t created I hope The Flying Carpets Over Agrabah is rethemed to a Pixar Film. As The Flying Carpets Over Agrabah is currently closed I’m hoping it is rethemed. For all I know the reason for the closure could be a retheme. Do you think that as part of Walt Disney Studio’s being refurbished into Disney Adventure World The Flying Carpets Over Agrabah will be rethemed. The thing that bothers me the most about Walt Disney Studios is that Aladdin,a non Pixar Film, is located in The World Of Pixar. Does the location of The Flying Carpets Over Agrabah bother you. Will the Sorcerer Mickey Fountain and Earffel Tower survive the refurbishment. I really hope that the mock Petrol (Gasoline m) Station within Studio 1 will remain. My other favourite element of Studio 1 which I would like to feature in World Premiere is the Herbie in the Gift Shop. Do you think these parts of Studio 1 will be in World Premiere? I think the mock Petrol (Gasoline) Station fits the theme of a Hollywood street perfectly. I’m crossing my fingers that this side of Studio 1 will be largely the same. In contrast I hope the other Side of Studio 1 is torn down and replaced. In my opinion this part of Studio lacks any character or Disney Magic. If the Petrol (Gasoline) Station is removed I think it should be relocated next door to the entrance for Cars Road Trip.
