This video would've been better if you used the right characters in the photos.

Also, the narration (like many, many of these sorts of videos on KZbin and elsewhere) is so robotic and loud to the point of almost aggressive sounding.

Why do you keep showing pictures of characters you're not talking about? There are plenty of issues of Sandman Mystery Theater you could have used for Wesley Dodds references. 🤦🏻♀️
@robertwarren32782 күн бұрын
They completely did Wesley Dodds dirty. He's such a cool character too: pulp/noir costume with gas mask, wire grappling gun that predates Batman's and Rorschach's by decades, sleeping-gas weapon, and psychic abilities.

Bro this video was so frustrating. Why not use pictures of the actual characters
@robertwarren32782 күн бұрын
You couldn't get an actual image of Wesley Dodds (the original Sandman)? There are literally hundreds of them all over the internet. He was in the Justice Society forever and had a fairly popular Vertigo comic in the 1990s, so he's not exactly obscure. He also had psychic powers (based on prophetic dreams he had), and you left that out.

@MWhaleK No, The Japanese superhero "The Golden Bat'' AKA Ōgon Bat (Japanese: 黄金 バット, Hepburn: Ōgon Batto, which literally means (Golden Bat). Who was created by ''Suzuki Ichiro'' and ''Takeo Nagamatsu'' in autumn of 1930. And originally debuted in a Kamishibai (paper theater)...Was (Superman before Superman). The Penny Dreadful hero ''The Human Bat'', who first appeared in ''The Funny Wonder'' from March of 1899...Was (Batman before Batman).

@@jeffreycoogan09 Doc Savage was an expert scientist a perfect physical specimen who was educated and trained throughout his childhood by experts in pretty much every field of study helping him have a Genius-level intellect, be in Peak physical and mental condition, be a Skilled scientist, surgeon, inventor, detective, athlete, and martial artist with Photographic memory. He was also a Master of disguise, waged a war on crime and sent people to mental hospital that cured/reformed them. Also, Doc Savage was the "Man of Bronze" Like Superman is the "Man of Steel" was the world's strongest man (almost to the point of being Superhuman) and had a Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic before Superman did. Lastly being a Pulp hero of the 30's and 40's he is a far more direct inspiration for both members of the World's Finest duo than Golden Bat or "The Human Bat".

Oh, and another super powered hero from the Pulp era was the Shadow. With the power to "Cloud mens minds," he brought more to the game than just his wits and guns.

All great characters. However, Superman made his debut before all of them in the June 1938 issue of Action Comics #1. Superman was the FIRST comic book hero. PULP heroes appeared such as Doc Savage, The Spider and The Shadow appeared well before the Man of Steel, albiet in different print media.

UMMMM....according to the narrations in this video, several of the characters mentioned first appeared in 1939---so how can they be considered to be part of the heroes who "stared it all" when Superman debuted in nineteen thirty EIGHT? ????? Sigh.
