When i was 6 or 7 my first ride was kiddieland . It was that one lightning McQueen ride i dont know what it was called but i just loved looking back at it

There used to be a Break Dance ride there in the 1980's / 1990's but think this was part of Barry's Amusements. Wilmot's now own the Hell Raiser Waltzer and they are refurbishing it now ready for the new season.

It was in Barry's Amusements it was called 'Crazy Dance' it is now in France. I have seen Hellraiser Waltzer's new cashbox and it's looking very smart.

Hey everyone i worked in kiddeland during this time period and opperated the Tea cup ride as well as the cars and bikes and the mini riller coaster i have some info about what happened with these rides. Skyscreamer was sold off after a worker jole taggert got hit the head by the ride as he used to run and collect tokens between this and the dominator. Tapis basically closed kiddieland a drunk customer was on the ride stood up at its peak in the air he came free of the safety guard and unfortunately died. I was working both days if i remember correctlyi was def there when that happened with jole and the skyscreamer he was fine after but something crazy like 14 staples in his ,i worked on and of in both kiddieland and barrys on the summers off school

Thank you for this very interesting info! Tapis I heard had an incident but it wasn't confirmed at the time so this confirmed what happened. That could possibly explain why it only ran for 1 year, shame since I have been told it was one of the best that operated along with Skyscreamer and Top Spin

@@FairsNParksNI yeah i worked the topspin ride also collecting tokens, the operator was a local DJ and it was by far the biggest pull. At that stage kiddieland was really big as they had more adult rides than barrys. The place was just run really badly i was 15 when i worked there,most who worked there where aged 15 to 16 ,17 apart from the odd older person who opperated the larger rides. I remember i got paid 60 pounds a week from Aldo Morrelli in a brown envelope at the time i thought it was amazing.

@@kiracus Walking around Kiddieland today it amazes me how many thrill rides they had all at once, shame since now the only good rides there are Waltzer and Beach Party. Barrys during the 90s wasn't the best and Kiddieland was thriving now its the other way round

Skyscreamer, Top Spin & Tapis along with that wee rollercoaster was when kiddieland was at its best! I can remember people coming off that top spin throwing up! I do remember hearing about the man falling off tapis, very tragic :( think that was around 1998 or 1999.

@@FairsNParksNI I don't think this was the same top spin ride as shown in the video, think it went to England somewhere along with Tapis which was also owned by Fabbri

@@markjonno91 It did, it there is no video that confirms that it was the Top Spin from Kiddieland all I know is that it stayed in England for 10 years before heading to Bosnia, Tapis went to Pleasurewood Hills for a year

Aye I went through too many voicecracks in videos around that time lol
