It’s such a shame it fades out at the end because the ‘mono’ is the very best, having played many times the original 45rpm 7” single bought by my mum and it was the DECCA Record Company

I wish I could! Both mainstream and flop singles were generally MUCH better, and this is coming from someone born in 1999!

Nice to be able to go back in time and listen 🎧 to enjoyable music 🎶 again and again ❤And this original recording is the best. Originals are always the best because it’s also burned into your brain 🧠I like mono best 👍

First heard this 1965 on vacation in Wyoming..... loved it

The summer of '65 to me was just another ordinary summer vacation from school for me. I was between second and third grade then.

Edited single for radio airplay. The longer version is better.

Original US 45 presented here with fade ending. Parrot lp "Greatest Hits from England" containded complete version with cold ending. Same fate, 45 shorter version with fade ending for "Laugh Laugh" by Beau Brummels, another 1965 hit.

perhaps this was another case of those 3:00 standard cut-offs for radio stations?

Very standard of the day. Made it easier to fit in all their stop sets and the news breaks.

It's my theme song for 1965, the worst year of my life.

It's a shame they cut off the ending of the song so short. Was this the case on their album too? Today you get to hear the final :10-15 ending on radio/etc.

A few weeks ago, I was at a Salvation Army store, I saw this original 45 of this song that I should've get my hands on this one, because this one had an early fade-out which was kinda stupid. The UK Decca 45 had a cold ending instead of being fade-out. Thank you for ruining the ending to this song.
