I hate how they are talking down to him. He did say no three times too and they still insisted on giving him the pizza. He didn't want it and nobody listened which is why he got angry. When somebody is recovering you need to act as normal as possible around them, like that neurologist said, or else it scares them and gets them angry, hence why Jesus got mad. No one was listening to him.

srt42893. Exactly. I saw clips from the next episode and Jesus snapped because they kept persisting that he does his physical therapy exercises. This is gonna be a hard one. The mom's need to learn how to back off and Jesus needs to learn how to actually try so he can get better.

srt42893 I mean yeah they shouldn't have persisted but think about it from their perspective. Watching their son like this would be so incredibly hard for them so they're coping the only way they can. While they went about it wrong, I don't think we should judge them on it.

IMO it was a mistake to bring him home so soon. I get why they want him there and why they felt bad leaving him in a TBI recovery center, but they're not equipped to deal with him. They just want him to be the same as he always was (understandable) but none of them have the training that he needs right now & I feel like this is just a bad situation.

I don't think they understood that he didn't want the pizza, they probably saw it as he didn't want the pepperoni since that's what he pointed out in the first place, so you can't really say it's entirely their fault.

Jesus's condition was probably new to the family and they had no experience dealing with all of these overreacting things. And plus, there were literally a lot of mess happening at that moment and they were so exhausted from that stuffs. They prepared a pizza (his favorite one) just to want finally have a normal happy meal but Jesus was just refusing it, kinda frustrated after all the things happened. I'm not saying its his fault, he got problems with his head and had no control of his emotion, but it has nothing to do with the moms as well. It's no one's fault, at all.

Yes it is. Depending on where the brain damage occurred people can lose their dexterity, balance, and suffer major shifts in personality and difficulty controlling their emotions. Some people experience uncontrollable crying or laughter when they're not sad or happy, some people get more aggressive or have instances of blackouts in rage. This is very normal for victims of TBIs which is why I don't think it was appropriate for them to bring him home so soon. None of them have the expertise that Jesus needs at this point in his recovery.
