Great video, Raecine, with something for everyone. I have always regretted not having started with a traditional RWS. About six years into my Tarot journey, I began working with the Radiant Rider-Waite Smith and my understanding of Tarot grew exponentially. I think Tarot Mucha is a great option, too. And the Everyday Witch Tarot is traditional but kitschy and fun. 😊

the first tarot i got this year was rider waite radiant wise, I love the softer more vintage colors. Its been a long time since i worked with tarot & there are so many lovely decks out now. blessed be

great vid! my first deck was the hoi polloi (a rider waite smith clone) and i'm glad i got the basic understanding of the system before diving into other decks.

I so agree with you, the RWS is such a great foundation for the first one or two years learning tarot. :) Everytime I see the Morgan Greer on video or in photos I love it but then I see it in real life and I'm like whoa that is... Sharp...? lol I don't know, the colors just don't please my eyes. ;) One of my favorite RWS clones used to be the Robin Wood Tarot. But gosh it looks so dated now...

Hello & Blessings to you. Great video. I agree learning the ryder waite system first is important and I totally agree about not reading tarot but are oracle readings if they do not utilize the system. If that intital foundation is not learned then it sort of corrupts the entire future of their readings. There is an archetypal balance to the RWS and it is vitally important that people understand the basic symbology. I love your hair color! Is it true red? I have been searching forever for a blood red. They always seem to be magenta, purple or fuschia regardless of what they say. Do you have a suggestion? Please & Thank you.

I love these recommendations! I also discovered the Universal Waite deck recently with Pixies art recolored by Mary Hanson-Roberts. I'm really able to see the details of the cards very well and it's very helpful for tarot study.

Hi Racine, thank you for thus great and helpful video. Could you please elaborate in a video what you mean by connecting to the cards rather than memorizing them? I am at this stage and I just cannot get a grip at the meanings. I can do one card draws all right, but when there's three of them, I always need to check with the guidebook for one or two cards. Please explain, you are an amazing teacher. love Teddy
