THE FOUNDATION TRILOGY by Isaac Asimov (Folio Society, 2012)

I'd kill to have a Folio Society copy of the Foundation Trilogy. I've got the 2012 Bantam Spectra single volume copy that was sold widely at Barnes and Noble. I've got the 14 volume Asimov collection from Doubleday subscription in the 80s. I've got some Easton Press stuff of Asimov. I've got pulp Asimov even. Ha. But yeah I'd like to add something of the Folio Society's quality to my library with Asimov's name on it!

@@UbiquitousBooks Seems current rates on ebay put it in the $250 to $300 range. That's not too crazy, but it'll have to be a planned purchase. Probably can't really consider it until I've acquired a few 17th century books for my wife first. :)

I must say that I am not very fond of the art style, but the rest of the books look nice.

It's funny: for me the art was a highlight in what I considered to otherwise be a fairly bog standard Folio Society edition. There's indeed no accounting for taste. Thanks for commenting!

So glad they did the Trilogy, even though there are 5 books. The last two are very derivative and pointless, droning on and on about a search for Earth while lecturing what can best be described as Incest Apologetics. But I do love the trilogy. 😎

@@FlatEarthMath Ah... well in THAT case... there are only 3 Star Wars movies, 2 Aliens films, 4 Terminator films, 1 Predator film, 3 seasons of Sliders, 2 Ghostbusters films etc. I'll grant that Rogue One is ALMOST a Star Wars film and that Terminator 3 and 4 are almost NOT Terminator films. But yeah, I've never heard of any others. I wonder if they'll ever make those Star Wars prequels that were hinted at. I guess we'll never know...

@@FlatEarthMath I admit my acceptance of T3 and T4 is more provocative for fellow purists. But I see them as like really good fan fiction. So I weirdly see T1 and T2 as CANON CANON and T3 and T4 as "possibly canon, but still fun enough to watch, fun enough to speculate that maybe it did happen that way." Another controversial take is that I embrace all 4 of the Mad Max films...yes, even Thunderdome LOL
