I have always beem interested in Chinese culture and peoples. I admire their filial piety and the smart and stoic way in which they handle adversity. Clearly they are very smart and compasionate people. I wish them the best future and I trust that they will choose Peace instead of Violence if given a choice.

Tang Guoqiang was perfect for the role of Mao Zedong! I'm a huge fan of history and I’m very intrigued by China’s history after World War II.

My second comment. There are a lot of Chinese movies I see on KZbin that even with a search I find no version with English subtitles. Please more English subtitles. Some of these movies I see are historical re-enactments, one was one Mao and I so wanted to watch. We need to hear your stories and I would take to long to learn Mandarin to be able to watch without subtitles. Please, please more English subtitles, requested from a lover of Chinese movies. ❤

Very poor in the USA cannot afford glasses the subtitles are very small and I do not have a TV for the internet I'm so sad about not watching this movie it looks just wonderful

The amount of men and women that were borrowed from China's People Liberation Army is nothing short but astounding. The scale and production of this film is massive including all the historical clothing and props.

It's bitter for saying truth but nothing could be done because I wrote several times that English language is Universal, maybe Cantonese or Mandarin is the most largest speaking language in the World but it should be in mind that few people knows all foreign languages and we from INDIA very much love and like Chinese movies but the problem arrived with the film makers who never understand our not knowing any other languages than English language, so I again pleading to all foreign Countries please for our Sake do dubbed your language in English language ❤❤🙏🙏🙂

You using english instead of your native tongue or some other language perpetuates the imperialist and colonialist thoughts with their superiority and your own inferiority. Why should you use another countries tongue, when you have your own motherland or fatherland?
