@chrisobrien62542 жыл бұрын
Good comment. I understand the spiritual aspect of yoga is demonic but I have a difficult time understanding why the stretching part is also wrong because I’ve done yoga ( not anymore) and many of those stretches are just normal ones that you’d do just warming up for a workout even if you weren’t doing yoga🤷♂️ some of them we might even do by accident just cleaning the house and picking stuff off the floor or wrestling with our kids or trying to untighten certain muscles so I’m confused by that

@@patriley3455 The Fatima Center is happy to be able to offer free sacramentals such as the Brown Scapular. Please contact our offices at 1-800-263-8160. Your will also want to be enrolled in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular in order to obtain all of the blessings and privileges associated with this devotion. Any priest can perform the enrollment, which only needs to be done once. (As scapulars wear out and are replaced, it is not even necessary to have the new ones blessed.) The ceremony and prayers for enrolling a person in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular can be found on page 29 of the booklet "Our Lady's Garment," available on our website at: archive.fatima.org/apostolate/pdf/brown_scapular.pdf The enrollment is also an opportune time to ask the priest's permission to to change the prescribed work in connection wtih the Sabbatine Privilege. That is, for all those who 1) are enrolled in and wear the Brown Scapular, 2) observe chastity according to their state in life, and 3) perform a prescribed work of prayers, Our Lady has promised to deliver these souls from Purgatory on the first Saturday after their death. The "prescribed work" in the third condition above is established as the daily recitation of the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin, but any Catholic priest is authorized to allow you to substitute a daily five-decade Rosary for the recitation of the Office. God bless you.

For the record, I love Fr. Isaac to bits:+) And yes I can see a few bad apples in the laity who have exploited the crisis in the Church but I have found that the ones I read or listen to either a) do not take any money at all or b) live on very meager salaries and c) not one of them wants to be doing this, they would rather be living their lives and letting the clergy do their jobs. It reminds me of the stories of Joan of Ark and Judith where God raised up women to shame the men for not doing their duty. In our age God is raising up the laity to shame the clergy for not doing theirs. I honestly wouldn't know where I would be if not for these lay apostolates stepping into the breech of chaos, evil, and destruction that the hierarchy has created these past decades. It was only out of desperation that laity did this...having been abandoned, betrayed, abused and persecuted by their own priests, bishops, and popes this past half century. God bless them for it.

Can I as a lay person consecrate my friends, family, and the world in my prayers?
@TheFatimaCenter4 жыл бұрын
It would be more precise to speak of entrusting (rather than consecrating to Our Lord or Our Lady) such persons and matters, since you do not have authority over them. Here are some examples of the sort of things a layman might consecrate: "To the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being other than to honor, love and glorify the Sacred Heart." "My most loving Jesus, I consecrate myself anew today and without reserve to Your Divine Heart. To You I consecrate my body with all its senses, my soul with all its faculties, and my whole being. To you I consecrate all my thoughts, words, and works; all my sufferings and labors; all my hopes, consolations, and joys; and chiefly I consecrate to You my poor heart that I may love but You and be consumed as a victim in the flames of Your love."
@truegrit82804 жыл бұрын
One thing ,, does the suffering in hell make up for all the sins committed ? Because they'll be there forever suffering . I guess my question is why did God create a hell for all eternity ? It seems more souls will go to hell then Heaven . That means there will always be good & evil souls for all eternity .
@TheFatimaCenter4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question, which we will submit to Father Relyea. In the meantime we would remind you that sinners continue to receive grace only so long as they are in this world. Contrition and amendment are therefore impossible for the damned, so you are correct that the lost souls and angels will be fixed in evil for all eternity. God bless you.

Thank you for your question. English speaking Catholics have traditionally referred to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity as the Holy Ghost, but the term Holy Spirit is completely synonymous and there is no compelling reason to favor one over the other, or to object to either. See for example the article on the Holy Ghost in the 1907 Catholic Encyclopedia which uses the former 100 times and the latter only 4 times: (www.newadvent.org/cathen/07409a.htm), and the English edition of the Catechism of the Council of Trent which uses them in a ratio of 180 to 18 times. The prevalence in English usage was dramatically reversed in the 1970s, a change which by sheer association is viewed by many as part and parcel of the disastrous innovations foisted upon the Church by revolutionaries. Traditional Catholics generally continue to use the term Holy Ghost, but without taking alarm at others' use of Holy Spirit. See also two articles on the subject here taylormarshall.com/2012/05/should-we-say-holy-ghost-or-holy-spirit.html and here tradicat.blogspot.com/2017/11/holy-ghost-vs-holy-spirit.html God bless you.

I am confused by Fr. Isaac's teaching that we can pray for someone who is already dead for the grace of their conversion. This teaching seems to contradict the practice of the Church. The Church prays for Her enemies while they are alive, but not when they are dead. If what Fr. Isaac said were true, the Church would pray for everyone who is dead. I've heard this teaching before from Jimmy Akin, but I am worried that Fr. Isaac teaches this too now. Would he pray for Martin Luther then, and if not, why not?

Thank you for your question, which we will submit to Father Relyea. In the meantime we recall an anecdote about Padre Pio praying for the grace of a happy death for his father for many years after his father's death. The idea of course would not be a hope of altering events which are now past and fixed, but to seek with the greatest possible accumulation of prayers this particular grace from God, Who can answer our prayers at any point in time, even times past.

@@TheFatimaCenter Thank you very much! I would be very interested in Fr. Isaac's elaboration of this, and whether it is based on just the anecdote about Saint Pio, or there is longer tradition of the Saints doing that. This is important, as currently I am deliberately not praying for any of my deceased relatives, as none of them were Catholics. I think praying for deceased non-Catholics is effectively undermining the faith in the dogma of "no salvation outside the Catholic Church and Catholic faith".

Father explained it clearly, I believe, in the previous video on "the Judgement". There is no time with God. He can apply graces to a soul that are merited by someone in the future or in the past. It makes no difference to Him. Even in the case of a suicide, where the person can not receive a Catholic burial, we can still pray for their soul. It does sound strange, but we do not understand God's ways. Also, no prayer is wasted. So even if a particular soul is damned, the graces will be used elsewhere and our act of Charity will be rewarded.

@@whowantstoknow2617 I understand the concept. My concern is that we don't see it in the tradition of the Church. The tradition is the opposite: the Church does not pray for those who died as manifest sinners or heretics, but prays only for those for whom there is hope that they died in the state of grace. The prayer for grace of extratemporal conversion is unknown to me in the tradition, seems like a novelty.

@@standev1 Thank you for your question, which we will submit to Father Relyea. In the meantime we would urge you to pray for all of your deceased relatives, understanding the difference between the Church's public rites (which befit the faithful, but which would be an occasion of scandal if offered indiscriminately on behalf of those who died without any apparent sign of fidelity to the Church) and our personal prayers (on which the safety and deliverance of our departed loved ones may depend). God bless you.

I don’t believe that ,why we have purgatory?god is merciful.and in many time Mary Mother of god help us.

Purgatory is a place of purification from sin, which is needed even after sins have been forgiven, and without which we cannot enter Heaven for as St. John says, "There shall not enter into it any thing defiled." (Apoc. 21:27) God bless you.

So the blessed mother can intercede for the damned that are sent to hell?

She wasn't sent to Hell. She was doomed to go there. Father talked about that Jewish lady when she was just about to die, not after her death.

@@CigaWeed53 As another viewer explained above, Our Lady intervened on behalf of Fr. Cohen's mother just before she died. Father Cohen was unaware of this, and even though she died without any visible indication of converting, he prayed for her soul for years after her death. papastronsay.blogspot.com/2011/10/text-of-letter-prophesied-to-father.html
