The fox went out on a chilly night He prayed for the moon to give him light For he'd many a mile to go that night Before he reached the town-o, town-o, town-o He'd many a mile to go that night, before he reached the town-o He ran 'til he came to the farmer's pen The ducks and the geese were kept therein He said, a couple of you are gonna grease my chin Before I leave this town-o, town-o, town-o Said a couple of you are gonna grease my chin, before I leave this town-o He grabbed the great goose by the neck And he threw a duck across his back And he didn't mind the quack, quack And the legs all dangling down-o, down-o, down-o He didn't mind the quack, quack and the legs all dangling down-o The old grey woman jumped out of bed Out of the window she popped her head Crying John, John, the great goose is gone And the fox is on the town-o, town-o, town-o John, John, the great goose is gone and the fox is on the town-o He ran 'til he came to his nice warm den And there were the little ones, eight, nine, ten Sayin Daddy, Daddy, better go back again For it must be a might fine town-o, town-o, town-o Daddy, Daddy, go back again for it must be mighty fine town-o The fox and his wife, without any strife Cut up the goose with a fork and a knife They never had such a supper in their life And the little ones chewed on the bones-o, bones-o, bones-o They never had such a supper in their life And the little ones chewed on the bones

Great video! Little strange that the mandolin is shown as a six-string banjo with a sound hole (???). But I really appreciate the work put in to it, and it turned out great!

Fun animation! Interesting choice to color the ‘grey goose’ blue.

And yet the old grey woman really was grey. lol
@4EyedAnimation3 жыл бұрын
@@Seetiyan I heard it as "Great" goose...not "Grey" goose...
@SkyloBones Жыл бұрын
The lyric is definitely "great goose"
@nathanaelfriday7596 Жыл бұрын
@@SkyloBones 🤣 It definitely is "grey goose". If you listen @0:52 or @1:11 slowed down there is no 't'. Also, if you are familiar with any other cover of the song you'll notice that. I'll give you that if you listen at full speed and are not paying a great amount of attention it could be mistaken for 'great'. But 'grey goose' is also a common description outside of the song too, whereas 'great goose' is not.

Meanwhile I wrote a sad story about a beautiful man called Leif. He was an amazing man before I was born and I think he will pass away soon.

Who is this Leif?
@NessLover947 жыл бұрын
He's not very known outside my home country, but I don't wanna be such a spoiler. Anyway, the beginning of that story (that only is suitable in swedish) goes like this: Det var en gång en liten man. Leif Walter var hans fulla namn. Han var en riktigt rolig man. Den pojken heter Leffe!
