Season 3, Episode 13: In this championship edition of The Franchise presented by GEHA, Clark Hunt reflects on the journey his father, Lamar Hunt, took during the inception of the AFL. Now regarded as a key member of the NFL’s beginnings, Clark discusses how important it is to the Chiefs to have an opportunity to bring home a third Lamar Hunt trophy against the Bengals. After enduring an ankle injury against the Jaguars, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the subject of a media blitz as the football world looks forward to the AFC Championship. Cody Tapp and Alex Gold look forward to the Chiefs’ matchup against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. Then, the Chiefs meet the Bengals for the fourth time in just over a year. Chris Jones, Frank Clark, and Travis Kelce bring legendary performances as Patrick Mahomes leads the team to their third straight Lamar Hunt trophy in four years. The Chiefs earn a berth in Super Bowl 57, where they will meet the Philadelphia Eagles.

Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl and he was terrible..Peyton Manning last win was all Defense. Eagles have a better defense and their OL isn't hurt like Burrows! The Chiefs barely squeaked by the Jags (Only by 7 points) and got lucky during Bengals game and Burrow had 3 OL out.

I am so happy for my Chiefs and for Chiefs fans worldwide. So many great aspects to this season and win. One of the less heralded stories is how good the team is at finding talent and developing that talent. From the tone Clark Hunt sets to the scouting team to Mark Donovan and Brett Veach finding the talent for Andy Reid and coaches to develop...they have the structure and the wherewithal to build a deep stellar team...and that depth and coaching has given us an edge. Awesome production all season. S/o to everyone involved in making these franchise videos. Best ever. Been a chiefs fan since i was a kid. I travel out from NJ as much as I can to see them and I’ve had the lucky fortune of seeing some good ones. Came out for the divisional round win against Buff last year. Thought that game could never be topped. I knew if we got an opportunity to play Cinci again that i would be there, so I bought my tickets and booked my flight as soon as the bengals beat Buffalo. I’ve never seen or felt the stadium as loud and locked in as it was Sunday night. To get the LH trophy back, to get revenge in this fashion, in that stadium, with our fans, was just immaculate. 5 years in a row!! The energy was second to none. I teared up like a baby when Butker made that kick. Was an experience of a lifetime that I will cherish forever. As we all should. Couldn’t be happier for this team, the coaches, the front office, us as fans, every person and everything that goes into making this franchise what it is. With that said, the eagles haven’t seen a team like ours yet this season. Andy vs. the team that pushed him away into our laps, Kelce vs. Kelce, just so many storylines to amp up this matchup. We have an amazing opportunity to make this season one of the most special and unique seasons in KC Chiefs history. Philly isn’t ready for the punches this team has in them. Let’s go take back what we know is ours! And as always, how bout those Chiiiiiiefs!!!!!!!!

Being a die-hard fan since 1974 and watching the Chiefs I know that there are always changes yet I feel that they have made the most changes to how they look and aquire new and veteran players to the team. This has been the best football team since Marty was head coach. We as fans have been given a chance to not only be beyond proud of our team and get a chance to show the rest of the teams how we can be a dominant factor in how well our team plays. I have noticed over the last few years the number of fans that are present in other stadiums when we play away, I have never seen this before and it makes me feel more of a fan than ever before.
