I agree mate they could have been bigger than they are now if they'd stuck to the Costello music type music their not rock n roll anymore that disappointed me most they kinda went down hill I still love them I listened to them since the first came on the scene n they ain't as good as they were I know their all older now but I miss the old fratellis

Totally agree. It was a golden age for The Fratellis.

@@jaymalley8866 it's very clear from the way he writes now that while popular, the kind of music they did at first isn't what they want to do anymore and we should respect that.

As much as I like the Fratellis, I'm very disappointed by their almost complete lack of audience interaction. They just play their songs as if they were in a studio, that's it. Essentially no talking with the audience, no encouragement to sing along, no integration of the audience into the show, nothing. Why?
@dariusmccallum10 жыл бұрын
Why should they? This is a truly professional performance, they are giving it their all, it's well disciplined and musically tight. Why should they muck it up because some drunken members of the audience think they are in a pub singalong. IMO bands that invite audience participation have nothing more to add to their repertoire and are just time filling. While I agree some audience recognition might be nice (they do say "thank you" a couple of times) I would rather have 100% music than some rocker asking the punters multiple times-"how do you feel?" and "it's great to be in Reading, Reading is awsome", etc,etc.
@ArminGrewe10 жыл бұрын
darius mccallum I think we'll have to agree to disagree here. If I wanted to listen to studio sound I might as well just listen to the CD. From a rock concert I personally would like to see a bit more show and entertainment, a bit of spontaneity, a bit of fun. A bit of warmness, which for me is just lacking here. But as I said, we're probably not going to agree here. I accept and understand your view, it's just not my preference.
@GUnSNRoSeSrOcKzz9 жыл бұрын
Armin Grewe I get your point, but some bands are just like that, I think. Plus, they like it that way. But I get your point.
@steventasker2359 жыл бұрын
They don't need audience interaction. Their songs are catchy enough the crowd should be able to sing along if they want to at their own accord. The lyrics are great, easy to remember. And the fratellis don't strike me as a band that practice very often. Gigging is their practice. They sound much tighter now though, compared to back then
