Eric Spoelstra is truly one hell of a "genius" coach. Imagine coaching an 8 seed Heat last season, coming in from play-in do or die games, then eventually winning the Eastern Conference Finals with a bunch of undrafted talents. And now doing it again like Deja vu. But without Allstars......No Jimmy, No Rozier, NO Problem.💪 Of ALL the the NBA teams, the Heat have my highest respect. I don't really agree with that. Jrue was a dog in New Orleans. I think he is just old now (he'll be 34 in a month). The problem for Boston is he just signed a 4 year contract totaling $134 million. The Celts are stuck with him now. You are right about the other 2 though. Both of those players would be serviceable without Nikola and Steph. To use a football reference: There are a lot of 2s and 3s masquerading and getting paid as 1s. In the NBA, there are truly a handful of 1s but the league wants you to think there are dozens of them.

@jaypeoples3044 Even when he was a 30yo player in the Bucks, he would still shoot between 30 and 40% in the playoffs, especially when it mattered most. It's always surprised me a little that people adore Tatum as a player when in actuality, he's not really that good. Some people say he's a great scorer, but he's not even in the top 20 all-time PPG. For example, for his career, he's a 23.1 PPG scorer in 513 games, totaling 11,852 points. In the playoffs, it goes up slightly to 23.8 ppg. His advanced stats are even worse. For example, his PER goes from 20.1 in the regular season to 19.1 in the playoffs. In contrast, Luka Doncic in only 400 career games has 11,470 points and is the third-leading PPG scorer in NBA history behind Jordan and Chamberlain. Not to mention his production goes up significantly to 32.5 ppg in the playoffs, which ranks second all-time, only behind Michael Jordan. His PER in the regular season goes from 25.7 to 27.6 in the playoffs. Some people have “IT”. Some people don't.

STUNNING win last night in my opinion.

@@skap_attack It was just an extraordinary 3p shooting night for Miami. Very hard to repeat that kind of shooting. I would be super surprised if Miami wins another game.

Celtics and Lakers both looking nothing like their historical legacies. Disgraceful and rather depressing.
@uberneanderthalАй бұрын
they'll completely blowout a team one night, and then lose handily to that same team the next night. this has been their pattern for years, since the Tatum-Brown era started. it's a consistency issue, which i don't think is coaching, it's heart. you can't coach heart.

As a Celtic fangirl It's shameful to see such a talented roster go to waste by a limited and arrogant coach as Mazzulla

Game 3 is a must win for Boston. All the pressure is on them. If they lose game 3 then I don’t think they have the mental fortitude to bounce back.

This didn't age well huh? How is it looking there with those Miami bums after getting massacred 3 straight games? LMAO

Coach Spo could coach just about any damn player to mediocrity. He truly is best coach in the league by a faaaaar margin

Lmfao this is gold as a Heat fan 😂😂. Although listen, we did have an insane night shooting 3s. You can't expect that to continue so you have to find other ways to still beat them. But my god, could you imagine if they actually pull this off, without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier?

People are so blinded by stats and 60 wins in the standings. It obvious this team doesn't have any leadership. They have no grit and just "expect" to win through talent, so when things get hard they struggle. They don't have a team captain like a Chauncey Billups or Kyle Lowry to keep them level headed and focused. The Clippers also have the same problem which is why they haven't won anything in 5 years with Kawhi Leonard, despite having the best roster in the NBA year after year.

Celtics gotta sign Udonis Haslem

As talented as the Celtics are and regardless their league-best season record, I was never fully sold on them being the title favorites mainly because of their play-style. It's either chucking up 3s or iso-iso-iso. When the going gets tough the team cohesiveness is lacking and that is on the coaches, who don't seem to have a plan B, if plan A isn't working. In this game, it certainly didn't help that Heat were hot from 3, but Celtics coaching staff were unable to come up with any kind of counter-measures the whole game.

The key to Miami's success is Coach Spo.

The best version is Jason Tatum was when he was in the 2022-2023 post season facing the warriors and being forced into a scoring/ facilitating role on offense; it forced him to find that balance between the two while initiating the offense. I think Jason Tatum should run point gurad. They place Derrick white at SF, JB at sg and trade jrue holiday for a versatile defensive PF like Pat willams or Jarred Vanderbilt.M, Aaron Gordon ( They won’t get AG) but someone who fills that role like those players because JT at PF isn’t that and it limits him offensively because he’s not initiating the offense/ getting as many shots

The only way for Eric, while in Miami, to play against Bron in the Playoffs is if Bron forms another superteam in the east conference. Cause let's face it, he's more likely to form another superteam rather than bring the lakers to the conference finals.

Thank you for this vid as a Celtics fan. Captures our collective frustration perfectly. While the Heat shot a ridiculous and unsustainable 23-43 from 3, it was STILL a winnable game and they blew it with untimely turnovers and bricks
@davidriedy5977Ай бұрын
that's what I'm saying, yeah the win last night was awesome but we can't get too cocky as Heat fans because you can't expect to make that many 3s on a consistent basis. And we know how Boston is with the 3 ball. There will continue to be adjustments and competition and we'll see what happens. And also yeah, despite their historic night from 3 the game was still close. The 3 ball kept them in the game, if they're not hitting 3s like that they probably get blown out again

How does the Celtics allow the Heat to hit 23 3s at home
@minmaxVDАй бұрын
The worst part is it could've been more, but the Heats passed up a lot of open 3s for a long stretch before the last run.

Exactly you gotta get them out of there in 4 games and rest up for the next series. Can't take the foot off the gas and the Celtics seen to have that issue.

What in the Name of Affirmative Action is, going on with sports teams coaching hiring system. What’s on their RESUMES? Qualifications? Experience? Anything or are we just supposed to, not question the hiring practices of these franchises.
