Doesn't Solemn negate Jinzo's summon anyway or is it different in the anime?
@tylerkovalskas97803 ай бұрын
@@majickmanNot sure if it's different in the anime, but because jinzo's effect is continuous, it's only applicable if it's on the field face up, meaning If you try to normal summon jinzo, solemn judgment can negate the summon since jinzo is not yet on the field. If you try to special summon jinzo with another card's effect, like call of the haunted, or monster reborn, solemn judgment can respond to these card's activation and negate them, stopping the attempt to special summon jinzo. Solemn judgment also can't respond to something like an activated monster effect that special summons a monster, but it can still negate an inherent special summon. Same with activated effects of spell and trap cards that are not being activated on the field but in the graveyard or banished zone, or effects of already active continuous traps, or spells, and field spells, since those are using their effects, but they're already past the initial activation. Sorry if you already know a lot of this, but i also figured i would explain it in depth in case anyone in general finds it useful.

He loses to child actress Atachi Manya playing the Dian Keto As A Child Maid deck (did you know Dian Keto is an entire series of cards now?). What I left out of this explanation is his other gimmick however: he keeps rapping every line of dialogue. I cannot imagine the anguish Entame (the person who does english subs for Rush yugioh episodes) had to go through with this guy. • And I would also be remiss not to mention the guy who is I believe a mad max parody, he looks like a kenshiro villain what with a cool motorcycle helmet he wears and being a huge guy with a spiked outfit... who is literally a little child in a trenchcoat except the trenchcoat is this like inflatable (?) suit of body armor that also has a voice modifier inside. He actually wins one duel however. Against his mom who works for the government and plays the Dian Keto archetype in sevens.

In early Arc-V there is this fortuneteller called Mieru that uses Prediction princess and was defeated by Yuya after reading his future and gets a big crush on him. She infiltrates the Friendship Cup to be with Yuya and at the end when the Lancers are formed and are ready to leave to other dimensions she just hecking dips and we don't see her again until the end of the series. Like imagine if Shingo Sawatari did that, she was the only ritual user of the gang and I thought she was going to be a decent secondary member, and she just left.

Of all the things the dub cut from 5D's (including the literal ending) Team Taiyo is definitely one of the most heartbreaking ones, those boys deserved better. Fun Fact MBT: the duel with Larenzo from GX actually had a funny interaction involving Chains. Jaden had activated a trap card that would allow Neos to be put on top of his deck while also activating another Trap called Hero Climax which would let him draw his top card and if it's a monster, he can summon it to the field. Larenzo then activates a spell that lets him do his reshuffle of Jaden's deck, HOWEVER what is hilarious is that the scene plays up the drama as if him reshuffling forced Neos to be placed at random in the deck and the audience supposedly wouldn't be sure if Neos was on top of the deck anymore. but if you look at the chain sequence for which cards were activated and when, Jaden's trap that lets him put Neos on top of his resolves after Larenzo's spell to reshuffle, so Larenzo did all that reshuffling for absolutely NOTHING because Neos was always going to end up on the top of Jaden's deck because of how Chains work and thus allowed Heros Climax to resolve. i know this is a totally unimportant fact, but i just thought it was hilarious that this is the 2nd time since the Grand Prix where Chains actually mattered in a duel lol

Here's a few more just to show how wild GX one-shot characters were: Nurse Fontaine, while being in the show's background throughout the series, has one on-screen duel with Jaden when she's a Duel Zombie in the world Yubel transports the school to. Her major claim to fame is being the first character to play Bonfire, using it to search for Burning Algae for her Nurse Burn strategy. Lucien Grimly was a duelist who literally sold his soul to the devil, giving him a tattoo on his right arm that gave him topdecking powers that put Atem's powers to shame. His main strategy was Slash Draw OTK, and after a pep talk from Jaden, decided to trust in his own abilities to topdeck, literally swapping the arm his duel disk was on, thereby covering up the tattoo and no longer being under its influence. Elroy Prescot was a Pro Duelist that was all about dancing and bad Elvis impressions. His only monster was a clone of Goblin Attack Force, and ends up losing to the one and only Belowski. Doctor Collector was a Hannibal Lecter allegory that used a Spellcaster-themed lockdown/burn strategy where he used Dimensional Fissure in combination with Graceful Charity and Magical Stone Excavation to banish his monsters, only to bring them back with Dimension Fusion, locking his opponent with multiple Magician's Valkyria and Ebon Magician Curran supplying the burn, and Cosmo Queen as a beatstick. Too bad his opponent gave him the D; the Bloo-D that is. Finally, the Duelists of Death were the generals to the Supreme King, consisting of Chaos Sorcerer, Guardian Baou, Skull Knight, and the Skilled White/Dark Magicians. Only two of them got full duels, being Skull Guardian and Guardian Baou. The others were foddered off-screen, but we DID see one monster from each of them. Chaos Sorcerer's only monster was Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, while the other 2 Magicians used themselves as Tribute for Demise, King of Armageddon. Skull Guardian used a strategy centered around Lycanthrope, the old-ass Ritual Monster from Strike of Neos. Guardian Baou used a semi-lockdown strategy with a Trap that's just a reverse Gravity Bind with a maintenance cost, a random Slime monster that duplicates during the Standby Phase for LP, and his ace monster.....Twinheaded Beast...

You really can't say that Blood Shepherd is one of those irrelevant jobbers. He's a jobber, sure, but he's one of the only like 5 characters who do anything in Vrains. The funniest thing about him is that they establish, "He uses WIND monsters and hates AI because an AI caused him to get in a car crash" and they later establish, "Windy caused his partner to get in a car crash" and Blood Shepherd had NO CONNECTION TO WINDY WHATSOEVER. The best one-off from GX is Taizan/Damon, unironically. The episode does worldbuilding I legitimately enjoy that establishes topdecking is a skill that can actually be trained within the Yugioh anime universe. Also, in some of the video games he appears his deck is hilarious. In some of them he has a deck that has literally no win-con, all he does is play a bunch of cards that let him draw and only REALLY late in the game might he actually throw in Exodia pieces. And his monster lineup includes Doron and Dorover - why those monsters? Well, because they have the word "Doro" in them. Probably one of the most absurd concepts from Rush Duel is that there's a character who is the result of trying to transform curry bread into a different food using a space ship's replicator and it goes haywire and turns it into a sentient space ship that also is curry bread. The character uses a deck of Cyberse monsters themed around looking at the opponent's cards, and it's called "Cybersepice."
@brunosanto34883 ай бұрын
The funny thing about that character you mentioned is that, despite only having one Duel, is still a recurring Character to see on screen (even Cybersepice receives support from time to time despite the fact that the Duelist of the Deck does not have many Duels) If we talk about a Jobber with a lot of presence in GO RUSH, I think it would be Mitsuko. Ironically, this made her partner, Tamako Kago, also more remembered than many Secondary Characters of GO RUSH (the power of the 3.3 Meters Tall girl)
@shadowmetroid183 ай бұрын
If you're looking for a Jobber, I don't think anyone in Yugioh gets clowned on harder than Sylvio Sawatari from Arc V. Dude goes through 4 decks in the series, starting with Darts, switching to Mobius turbo, then Yosenju for a bit before settling on Abyss Actors. I don't think he actually ever wins a duel against a named character, and goes from minor antagonist to discarded member of the main cast by season 2.
@dancostello48723 ай бұрын
The funniest thing about this is that the general rule of thumb is that even the worst of the named characters are able to beat the fodder en masse characters (like Sector Security in 5Ds or Barian-Possessed duelists in Zexal), but Sawatari is so bad he even gets bodied by those guys, namely the Duel Chasers and the Underground Facility guards in Arc-V, and has to rely on his companions (usually Shun or Gongenzaka) to bail him out. But for all his jobbery, he also nearly beats Yuya twice, saves Tsukikage's life, gives Yugo a run for his money & almost beats Z-ARC, so talk about the duality of man. 😂

I'm gonna say Franz, the Industrial Illusions employee gone rogue in GX after Pegasus favoured Hayato's latest card submission (a grilled cheese Spell Card in the dub) to his own. He steals a counterfeit Winged Dragon of Ra (developed purely for research purposes), creates Mound of the Bound Creator to physically chain it up as a means of controlling it - the anime had the whole 'only certain duelists who have a connection to high-ranking Ancient Egyptians (or are the protagonist lmao) can control a God' thing - and uses it to injure loads of students in the Genex Tournament before he comes face-to-face with the Judai buzzsaw. He doesn't just lose to Judai, he gets absolutely stunted on - Judai destroys Ra in battle with fucking _Glow Moss_ (the only time in the franchise we see it get destroyed) so he can bring it back (while still in his Battle Phase) and flex that he doesn't need chains to control an Egyptian God because he's not a little bitch like Franz (I may be paraphrasing here lmao), before sacrificing Neos, Glow Moss, and 899LP to power up Ra & overkill Franz with his own ace monster.
