the final message from Issac the lead singer isaacslade I have some heavy news to share today. I know it’s been pretty quiet on the band front for a long time but I want to let everyone know I’m stepping down from The Fray. It’s been an honor and privilege to make music with those three amazing guys for the last two decades, and all for the best fans anyone could ever imagine. I let the guys know five or six years ago that I was getting ready to call it, that I was going to start my long exit ramp and now it’s finally time. And it’s all good. I wish those guys all the best in whatever they do next. I’m ready to start dreaming up what it is I’m going to do with the rest of my little life on earth, along with my incredible wife and our two little miracles of kids. Here’s to our legendary fans, to our steadfast families and friends, to the teams of brilliant people behind the scenes who made this journey possible in the first place, and most of all to Ben, Joe and Dave. Here’s to the last 20 years of walking together, crying together, playing together, singing together & laughing together. Thanks. I

This song has straight punched me in the gut. I shut my door at work and teared up and put on repeat. I correlate songs to memories and this one took me back 20 years when the kids were young, life was good, everyone was happy and in 2 minutes every memory possible flashed in my mind to her leaving, the kids growing up, the struggles, everything. But through it all, it's been time well wasted. Damn the Fray. Damn Luke Combs. Damn Chicago. And all the rest of you! Thanks for the memories.

I went through so many scenarios in my head why Isaac left. I saw countless interviews with media and Isaac Slade. Come to find out he had so many things to work out like personal things, stage anxiety, etc etc. Everyone needs their space yet I'm hoping one day Isaac returns to Colorado to take the helm again. Wishing him all the best on Vashon Island with his record store! Joe King looks like he's doing well. The honesty and reverence of The Fray ring so true through this new song. Issac wasn’t the band. As awesome of a voice he has, he didn’t make the band what it was. There was a whole band behind that voice that a lot of people seem to forget. I love old fray. But we should be happy that any of them are back, even with a new singer. That’s fine! Someone had to take the spot she I’m glad this man did. This song is beautiful. I’m waiting to hear this in my local radio stations.

I became a fan of The Fray in 2015 and have remained one ever since. It's been crazy to think back to the last almost 10 years and see how much I've grown and changed. I'll be graduating college this year and I'm excited to enter this next chapter of my life as it seems the band enters a new chapter of theirs. I'm sad Isaac is gone but I'm glad the band is continuing to make music, and I'm really excited for what's to come.

Generally speaking, I'm not someone who believes in having definitive favorites. But The Fray is without a doubt my favorite band. I was 15 when I listened to their first album (my mom owned it), and I immediately loved it. The first concert I ever attended was a year later when my dad drove my brother and I to a venue without telling us why we were there. I didn't even know he realized how much I loved this band until that moment. I've always found it eerie how every album--and damn near every song--has so perfectly encapsulated the chapter of my life at the time of each respective release, somehow precisely capturing and translating my most recent emotions and experiences into music and lyrics. (And now they've done it again with this one.) Isaac Slade was without a doubt a huge part of the band's distinctive sound I love so much. I'm heartbroken I will probably never hear another Fray song with him and his voice... But this new single reassures me that The Fray lives on and will continue to be my favorite band. This wonderful bittersweet song was the perfect way to find out this bittersweet news. Thank you for the new music! I'm very much looking forward to the rest of this EP. 🙂

I’ve always loved the fray, I do miss Issac, but this song is brilliant. It truly speaks to me right now at this point in my life. I was in a relationship with a girl for 9 years, I thought she was the love of my life, but recently she turned around and said she doesn’t love me anymore. Honestly, my favorite Fray songs are the first ones with Joe on the vocals. Rainy Zürich is my favorite song of all the Fray songs. I’m interested to see how their new songs sound with him as the sole singer.

What?! The fray is back? And even better? I miss listening to the old songs on the way from Joliet Illinois to Chicago on the metro ❤ I grew up with listening to the Fray. Tv, radio, KZbin videos.
