Pair of legends. Fintan McCarthy AND Paul O’Donovan are the first Irishmen since hammer thrower Pat O'Callaghan in 1928 and 1932 to win back to back olympic golds. Paul is also the first irishman to win medals in 3 consecutive olympics.

My wife and I saw the O'Donovan brothers win silver last time. I am sorry to say she passed away from cancer in November 2021.. We used to see them around Skibb quite often.
