My favorite edc. The reach comes in handy when chopping wild rose. I harvest vegetables in the garden with it, and can even use it like a scythe to "chop n' drop" and mulch around perennials.

@Steven Farmer 1st of all i was hoping ppl would get the joke, but obviously not, and Since i brought it up, i won't be a jerk, and i'll tell you! 1st of All Have you ever been in a knife fight??? Secondly have you ever had too defend yourself against more then one attacker at the same time. On both occasions you better hope you have something to defend yourself with available, to grab in an instant, and available in places on your body that will be retrievable. What are u gonna do if one guy's got a lock on your right arm, or you get stabbed or cut on your right arm or hand and you can't reach your blade with your left hand??? I've had it happen to me, and swore never again. What if you loose your knife in the fight?? I don't carry 5, like i said, my Brother calls me that, obviously sarcastically, but usually at least 2 and generally 3 or 4 depending on wtfs up. And the general threat level involved in what im doing that day. Rule is generally if i can, is Having a self defense folding knife in each front pocket. (Btw i stole that idea off the boss Mr. COLDSTEEL here himself, like he does, and also Michael Janich. And they generally carry a gun too, So i have it on good authority) A fixed blade on the belt and a neck knife is generally my combat order of the day if theres any raised chances of crap going on. So maybe not 5 but 4's pretty close........ lol . Im in Canada so no handguns bruh. It's the Best i can do with whats available and legal dude. The streets aren't getting any 'friendlier' anywhere.............

@@dick_richards I usually carry 2 knives and a multitool. I have firearms too, but I rarely carry them on my person. Something about pulling a gun out in public and firing it, makes me uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to miss my target and injure or kill an innocent bystander. Even the best shots miss sometimes, so guns for me are a last resort.

Over 3 years later and there's nothing...even in this "Wharncliffe" fad era...that comes CLOSE. As far as a strait blade folder is concerned, I think this is as good as it gets for a defensive folding knife. The reach it gives you, the ease of that thin, long blade being inserted into the body and slipping past heavy clothing and bone, and the cutting power of that tip when slashing makes it a knife I'd want NOTHING TO DO WITH if I were on the receiving end.

After carrying a Frenzy for a while, I've only grown to like it even more. I think Cold Steel should come out with a Mini Frenzy. Toxic green and Crimson red handles with a DLC coating would be PEAK!

I really enjoyed watching this video! I am impressed with what cold steel has been doing for years now: stepping up their game and staying relevant! I'm glad I met LCT at the parking lot event in Ventura back in 2016! He takes it his job to keep the manufacturers on contract when they try to shave costs or make substitutions as well as grow the brand. I just found out about Frenzy while looking through Blue Ridge Knives! I love the knife so far as I have learned about it!!! I'm very excited to try it! I was interested in Espada XL or Luzon because of the pocket sword concept, I'm even more positive about Frenzy!!!! I'm so glad Cold Steel & LCT goes where few, if any one else does! Keep it up Mr. Thompson!!!!!

I wish the side profile were thinner. The blade sticks out almost like it doesn’t close all the way. The curve of the blade could have helped to tuck it in around the triad lock mechanism, but there must have been some design challenges that prevented a tighter closed position. Other than that, this thing looks quality all around. G10, triad, s35vn, those are solid foundational ingredients for a great knife.

I love that blade shape! On another note though, I was taking a look at your guys viking swords and was wondering, have you ever considered making a shield to go with your swords like the gladius and the viking sword? Perhaps one that cold stand up to modern handguns but still be light enough to wield in melee combat? After seeing so many tests of strength and carrying cold steel knives for years, I am convinced that you guys actually make the worlds toughest and most reliable knives.

Just bought this knife from Smoky Mountain Knife Works...the in hand feel is comfortable and confident, but what surprised me was how good it is in pocket. Also I like how I can open it with one hand directly from a pocket draw with a flick, no thumb stud needed. Now time to see how well that tip hold up under EDC use. If I remember I’ll report back

He's got it a bit wrong. The blade shape forces the blade downward toward the cutting edge as it pierces. One of the nastiest looking blades for its size there is. I can get 2 hands on the handle so huge power cut potential.

Make it again but with a thicker handle and a 4.25 inch blade. Better grip and a more usable length. This handle is actually too long and catches on your jacket sleeves. Maybe a 5 inch blade or 4 3/4 just so the handle isnt so awkwardlt long and dont machine it down so skinny

I hate that you have the frenzy 1 2 and 3 in the only differences in them are the colors of the scales no other change in size or style I love the friends you don't get me wrong but it's too large for a daily carry you should have gone the route with the Voyager series small medium and large one two and three that would have been more sense
