So from what I’m getting is that we are probably Lori’s dad. At the start of the game the little homemade lunch says it’s “Daddy’s” and later see Lori’s story. Lori’s mom got sick with some kind of disease (first tv) and most likely died or will never get better from the disease, leading to the dad’s alcoholism and what seems like the elevator failing due to a fire (second tv in elevator). It would make sense if this was the dad’s purgatory, seeing how he impacted Lori’s life through the tvs. Perhaps the dad’s work building caught fire causing many people to die thus the mounds of corpses. But then again I remember the earlier build which seems to be added onto (as ABG pointed out in the pinned post), and the plot was that there was a demon in the fridge that ate your daughter and would eat you too if you looked away for too long. So perhaps as hinted at the end is that if you fall asleep while watching the fridge, the demon will mess with you using your weaknesses/regrets (not being with his family, not playing with Lori, being an alcoholic etc) to break down your will and let it eat you.

Not sure if my interpretation makes sense with all of the other evidence, but maybe the demon in the fridge is alcoholism itself? Might not make sense with earlier releases of The Red Fridge.
