Here in somaaliya we recite burdah on the sick person and what i have realised is that the qasiidah is great medicine and cure to all kind of sicknesses! May Allah have mercy upon the Imaam

And pay particular attention to the latter part of the lecture where Sidi Sjaad provides a most eloquent defence of the Burda. Amazing commentary - I have not seen one before like this. Shaykh Sjaad used to have a weekly class and explained the 160 lines of al Burdah - sometimes like a whole lesson on one verse! May Allah bless him and Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad al Yaqoubi, one of his teachers in this Heavenly Poem! Fatihah for our teachers

mashallah. Very well stated. But I have a question. What is the tafseer of "wa law kuntu a'lam ulghaiba lastakthartu min alkhair" ? I'm trying to reconcile that with what the sheikh said about the Prophet's knowledge. If any of you have knowledge about this from scholars, please do share. thanks.
