Brilliant live interpretation by vocal hero, Mr. Floyd Butler. God bless The Friends of Distinction including founder, Mr. Harry Elston.

Amazing sound. Floyd Butler & Harry Elston were originally in a band called the HiFi's which also had Marilyn McCoo & Lamont McLemore who would leave to form The 5th Dimension.

GREAT, GREAT SONG! IT WAS WAY, WAY AHEAD OF IT'S TIME! I remember when the Gap Band (1985) and Luther Vandross - R.I.P. - (1994), as well as other acts that covered the song through the years, done a rendition of it, it seemed - and sounded - like it should've been originally made then, but to be originally done in 1969! AMAZING!

Thank you! Finally a live version of this!. This song, going in circles, is one of my favorite songs of all time! The harmony of there voices is so infectious, intoxicating, raw, just beautiful. Words can't explain. I wish there were more live versions of them performing this song.

The best version is by Issac Hayes from his black Moses Album back in 1971. Music from the 70s is way better than that today by miles and miles!

Especially the ending vocals on the Isaac Hayes version. Isaac Hayes made it his own!

Better? Yes, to me as as well because it has SOUL. For another example of how fantastic the arrangements were as well as the vocals on '70s records give a listen to "Girl, You Need a Change of Mind" Pt. 1 and 2 by Eddie Kendricks. Crank it up and listen to that arrangement! It will catch your speakers on fire. Popular music is so tepid and cheaply produced now but there is still great music to be found, just not on the radio.

I was lucky to have seen Floyd Butler sing this deep song at a music festival near LA City Hall in 1983. I recognized his deep voice from a block away. I also saw the group perform this song on Soul Train back in the early 70s although it wasn't live singing. Floyd was there but one or more of the original group wasn't. All four of the original group reappeared in a Schlitz malt liquor TV commercial. I think Floyd stayed with the group until he died too soon in 1989.

Wonderful song but the band should've picked up the tempo just a bit as it's not that slow on record. This group had at least 3 killer singles (and maybe more that I don't recall) including "Going in Circles". To my ears their track "Grazing in the Grass" featured INCREDIBLE energy, vocals, and arrangement, including the SUPER-HOT drum fill. I don't know who drummed on that record but WOW!!.
