@@darklurker5716 Lost Izalith is super easy. Just run to through lava, lit bonfire, go up some root, go around statues, go around washing machine, kill 1 player NPC, and then just repeat 2 more times without the NPC part. Only dangerous thing is you aggroing dragon butts, but they are fairly chill and sneaking past them is far easier then past ice raindeer. Also dragon butts dont despawn and do frendly fire, so few bait and hide will take care of them. It is shitty map, but it is very easy one so I have no problem going though it asap and forgetting about it.

The Iron Passage wasn’t actually that bad, in my playthrough of the game; I mostly just shot at enemies with greatbow arrows. Even though I was out of Estus when I got to the blue Smelter Demon boss (I’m still glad the enemies in this level didn’t kill me), I was able to beat Blue Smelter using only Lifegems & mostly perfectly-timed rolls.

@@holtszom3746 there is a path: if you go straight for the houses w phantoms the horse will not spwan in time to attack you and will probably be distracted by attacking the phantoms. Still the outskirts are a shitty area, but mainly because of laziness in design and a worthless boss. Those areas all share problems, but i think iron passage is the worst because 1 boss copy 2 random mages where they shouldn't be 3 only specific spells can get you through it safely 4 the secondary way, that of the gates is kinda painful cause u have to go through the gates in time but some enemies will block you forcing you to redo thet route. At least you have some place to rest, like the outskirts Izalith is shitty too because 1 shitty graphics 2 shitty boss 3 bad enemy placement HOWEVER it is better than the others because 3 skippable through covenant, so u are not forced to take the ring of the centipede 4 nice area for the lore

@@BT-ob7ve it's shorter and can be speedran. Iron Keep is much longer and while you can also use speedrun tactics it's much more difficult. Plus random invasions from NPCs like the Forlorn. Iron Keep is the absolute worst. Nothing comes close.

@@darklurker5716 the Lost Izalith was tolerable. And yes, the Bed of Bullshit doesn’t make up for how good this area is, but at the same time, at least you could still see where you were going. I’m also aware of the dragon legs standing in the lava, but you can sneak around those with ease. And they at least have a bonfire literally a few walks away from the Bed boss fight. Imagine that, a checkpoint in a mandatory area that DOESN’T have to be several miles away. Which is more than I can say for the Frigid Outskirts.

This could be "easy" on NG, but it's a nightmare on NG+7. There are more red enemies and even with 99 dex and faith, you won't kill them fast enough to prevent being overwhelmed

I unfortunately had to; Ik this area is completely optional, but I like fighting bosses in any game that has them, and I had to task myself with defeating every last boss (including optional & DLC ones). That area had me all fucked up, but I did it; all I can say about this area, though, is “Never again!”

@@mahdiemerson8722 Oh I know what you're experiencing now. Yeah after a certain point it becomes impossible to do and softlocks your game. I just remembered DS2 has a goofy system that will permanently kill enemies if you kill them enough times.

The only people who think the frigid outskirts is hard are genuinely not good at the game. It's a cool unique area that plays differently to the rest of the game. I guess when dark souls 2 has one of those it's bad though.

no, i don’t think so. this zone genuinely fucking sucks, almost 5 minutes walking through a shitty storm not being able to see shit properly while being attacked by insanely overpowered deers, not to mention this boss is literally just a bad reskin of another boss fight, and if you die, you gotta go all the way back to the frozen eleum loyce because they didn’t even bother adding a bonfire. dark souls 2 has genuinely good stuff and some beautiful environments along with some good areas, but this one is not it.
