The bubbles make the project look more real often times small bubbles form on plants and other things in water. This happened a lot in our fish tank. I wouldn't worry about them. However if they really bother you next time tap the sides a little harder and for a longer time. You show such attention to details on both the doll and the stands. Great work. I think she looks fantastic.

I think she's so cute!!! 'Normal' is overrated anyway~ I adore her lumps and giant, froggy feet! It's kinda of refreshing to see a custom doll that isn't just a 'glamorous', overly perfect version of the original doll. It's fun to get a little creepy-cute now and then. That's why I love your work, girl! So creative and intricate. You've got big, swingin' artistic balls when it comes to trying new things and like to push the envelope, and I think that makes you very brave and very successful even when you feel like you're failing. She's so fun! the resin texturing on her skin is really gorgeous, too. if the bubbles bug you a good thing to do in the future is seal the base with a layer or two of resin before you do the epoxy pour, it'll prevent any trapped air in the base from forming bubbles!
@CatmeleonStudio2 жыл бұрын
I was in fact thinking about using a UV resin layer before pouring the epoxy. Mostly because I wasn't sure if the paint or glue won't react with the resin... But I ended up using mode podge that is safe to use with it. The majority of baubles came from the sides, non came from the top surface of the stand. So next time I need to figure out how to make the sides smoother (maybe with a uv resin, yeah) and the tank tighter :)

I saw a quote the other day that went something like "its good when you get to the point in a new skill to recognize making mistakes and incompetence. It might be frustrating, but it means you've learned enough to recognize them. When you first start, you don't, and you are unconsciously incompetent, and when you're conscious of your incompetence, that's when growth happens, because you recognize your mistakes enough to fix them." you reminded me of that when you were talking about working on your sculpting skills. You're already 100x more skilled in sculpting than I am, and I'm always impressed , but I also know nothing of scuplting, and you do.

Agh! I LOVE frogs 🐸 they are my favorite animal! This sculpture is so cool and interesting. I love that you are experimenting in your projects, it makes them all unique while still showing your style. Also the bubbles in the resin make sense for this scene because there are always random bubbles coming from lake beds. This is freaking amazing. Such a cool idea. Love love love it. The stand is exceptional and the bubbles works. I mean there are bubbles in water. Personally I wouldn't use the last layer of glue on the flock, for me it take to much of the fluffyness away.
