I met Dennis Flemion... had to be 2007 at the University of Chicago. I lived right down the street so I was there early. I had no idea at all what to expect. But it was just me and him. The rest of the band must have been... elsewhere or something. I asked if he'd sign my CD. (My copy of Starjob had a BIG sticker on it that said "Paul's"). He asked: "Do you label all your stuff?" I said "Naw, man... I got it used." "Ouch!" he replied. "...that hurts." I told him I'd just been to a Smashing Pumpkins concert the week before. He said "I was there man!" I scratched my head trying to remember. "Really?" He said: "Well that sure as hell wasn't Johnny Melvoin up there..." I laughed my ass off and thought "This dude is REAL." The following week Jimmy played a guitar solo from my lap at a loft party. R.I.P. Dennis.

That was a good show. It was nice to watch them play and not have to be on stage. Jimmy is a way underrated guitar player.

Hell NO it's not hard to believe they toured with the pumpkins! It's the other way around! A group of 6 of us drove 12 hours to see The Frogs open for the Pumpkins in December 2008, had the most beautiful time in the world, stayed for 2 pumpkins songs (How after all these years Billy still hasn't figured out he's WAYYY to loud and obnoxious is beyond rational explanation), then drove straight back 12 hours...EVERYONE considered the trip WELL worth it!
