I wonder how it would sound with two bows in each hand. If it sounds particularly interesting, it may be even more interesting to put a pedal controlled motor on it with a free wheel to handle the spinning. Very cool invention and instrument!

Honestly we'd probably have plenty more interesting innovations and inventions if people weren't doing it for the sake of money. Because what makes money is what gets funded and beautiful albeit niche instruments aren't really going to be invented all that much simply because most people don't care enough to fund it. I really hope this inspires people to go out and come up with their own though.

Yes it would! However, it's a lot easier to use an electric motor with a foot pedal to control speed, as I have done.

I love everyone's optimism and I hate to be a downer but there are a few reasons why this won't be the case: Orchestras are rooted in classical music, and even modern orchestral music uses the same instruments they had in the classical era This instrument can only play two chords without being retuned, making it's use in songs that have more than 2 chords extremely restricted

Fron I've been fascinated by your creations ever since i stumbled upon your Uke hurdy-gurdy invention. I too am a musician/inventor but have yet to combine my two passions.
