My favorite line is “Whats it matter anymore if you believe the lies I tell?” simply because I identify with it. I lie to everyone I love but they are learning that I lied. Every, “Ew! Those he-she things are weird” I said as an excuse, all added up. I am trans and I am proud.

This song fits my OCs, Tabish and Ali, so well. “There is very little left of me, and it’s never coming back.” Ali always was mentally unwell, but after his family died, he completely broke. “What’s it matter anymore, if you believe the lies I tell.” Tabish manipulated Bamtare, his girlfriend/wife so he could gain power, never really loving her. “But we still sing these songs well.” My little show in my head is a musical, and I’m planning on having a full on duet with Tabish and Ali. “But you’re a killer. And I’m your best friend. I think it’s unfair; your situation.” Ali starts killing people after his family dies, but keeping Tabish in his life. They were best friends, turned partners for life, and Tabish just wants to help Ali. “You say I’m changing, sorry I didn’t stay the same.” Despite always having a list for blood, Ali held himself together. “Can we talk about this lady, her voice is driving me, driving me insane.” The reason his family died was because a shitty woman set his house on fire one night while he was away, only to come back to see his house in flames without having said goodbye. I personify intrusive thoughts and fears, and it is basically him hearing her voice in a way. “And I try to see emotion, but my eyes don’t seem to wed.” Tabish seems very monotone and emotionless quite often, and Ali smiles all the time until Tabish or his children get hurt. “And you’re a flashlight in a darkroom in the loneliest blackout.” Tabish is practically the only light in Ali’s life for a long time, and even with his kids that he loves dearly, when he loses Tabish, he loses everything. “Turn you on when I need you, but the batteries ran out.” He loses Tabish, losing his light. “I think you’re changing, don’t worry you don’t have to stay the same.” After Tabish leaves with Bamtare to try and get the power he needs, and when he comes back to Ali when she finds out he was using her, he was broken in some ways too, being forced to leave his daughter, the only good thing that came out of the fake love. I also want to mention how I recently have lost a friend, and I am feeling awful, but I started writing a song about it, and it is inspired by this song, having the same kind of toon, and I imagine it with this voice.
