Great video! I just installed the same ladder on mine. Couple of tips: 1) mark both sides of the bottom of the ladder with tape and then center the lower bracket between the tape marks. 2) the steps should be with the flat side toward the door and rounded edge outward. 3) None of the plastic caps would snap in. I had to RTV all of them on. Other than that, no issues with the exception of the upper bracket slightly rubs during opening. Thanks!

What bit are you using to screw the m6 thread forming screws in. No bit came with the kit and it was never mentioned in the instructions? I can’t get them in!

T30 torx bit. You can get a really cheap torx kit on Amazon (and you should) as there might be things in the future that requires torx bits

What antenna mount are you using on the 4runner? it looks like the frontrunner one, but they didnt think it would hold up to these larger gmrs antennas .

Hey hows it going so we just bought this ladder for out 4runner. But im having some trouble wit the screws that go with the 3 steps. Did youres came with the threaded holes in them? Thanks

Same problem here. Instructions say to use an Allen wrench to tighten them in. All that did was round out the screw heads. Now I’m stuck with a pile of metal I can’t assemble. I see you used a bit and drill in the video which is never mentioned in the instructions which also weren’t included in the kit. Beyond frustrated with this product assembly!

No it's just holes and I used the nuts and bolts that came with the kit. The bolts are torx bolts

i had to get a torx socket bit to do this the first two steps were fine but the last one was very very tight. it eventually got there with a socket, not just a screwdriver.

Hey man I’ve been trying to put this ladder on and it’s rubbing on the top bracket to the point where it’s scraping the paint off when I open and close it. Got any suggestions on how to fix this?

Whoa, that's not good. There's supposed to be a space between that top bracket and your spoiler. The only contact it's supposed to have at the top is where it hooks into your tailgate and there's also a rubber padding to keep it from scraping the paint. Follow me on IG if you don't already and send me a pic. Let me see what you did at the top

Holding up great! No rust. Hasn't faded. No warps. No squeaks.
